"Everything went very well from the first call to completion. Estimator was very responsive, professional and helpful. Project manager and foreman were very good also. The men who did the work were professional, considerate of our home, polite and did a great job and great cleanup. We have an estimate for vinyl fencing installation and will use United Construction again for that, in the spring."

"I usually don’t hire contractors to do work around my house but I’m glad I did this time. They removed me old cracked up concrete and installed a new stamped walkway in a very timely manor. The new walkway looks amazing and would HIGHLY recommend you give this company an opportunity."

"I was very pleased with the work B&B did on my driveway.  Lou Buttino the owner was very responsive and answered all of our questions through the process.  His team was on time and very friendly.  I am very happy with the new driveway and the quality of the work they did.  They poured a very solid base with good depth, looks great.  I will definitely have them do the topcoat next year.  Their price was not the cheapest, but also not most expensive.....you get what you pay for! "

"<p>We found Great Choice randomly after calling a bunch of local places, and we are so glad we did. We had started a stone step and retaining wall project on our own, and after dozens of hours of work and digging we realized we were out of our league and needed professional help. We also needed it finished fast, as Halloween was only a week away and our property had become a downright dangerous place for trick or treaters to be! We called around, and since our project was already half done and mostly dug, it seemed that nobody else wanted to take over a half completed project, and the ones who were willing to couldn't do it for weeks or months down the road. Not only did Great Choice want to help, but they had guys out and working within days of calling them. The project was completed way faster than we thought it would be and for an amazingly fair price (HALF of even the cheapest quotes we got from other places.)</p> <p>Great Choice not only completed the project exactly how we wanted it to be, but they did it for much less than their competitors and got it done extremely quick. We recommend them to anyone looking to have rock or stone work done (or any landscaping projects). 5 stars!</p> <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Norwich, NY

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
