"French drain installation along a retaining wall (75 yards). Thomas who handled the sales end of things was friendly and responsive. The crew showed up on time. They were hard working and receptive of customer feedback. They first removed the ivy that was obstructing the work area and then completed the trench on day 1 which uncovered some of the unwelcome water sources. A legacy footing drain was plumbed directly into the main french drain pipe. Perpherated pipe was dropped in on Day 2 followed by river rock, catch basins, and 3 ft dry well installation. Cleanup was done thoroughly. I would hire them again in a heartbeat."

"The challenge with this situation was that the Angie's List consultation offer for J&R Landscape failed to include that they only serve a certain area on the Eastside. After I bought the offer and was in touch with J&R Landscape's owner, Ryan, he noted the error and said it would be difficult for them to travel all the way to my neighborhood in Seattle. And yet -- they did! Ryan said "a deal is a deal" and they would honor what Angie's List had offered. Ryan and Andrea W. were first-class professional in everything. Andrea's advice and suggestions for how to improve my landscape, and what rockery design would be best for my location -- it was perfect. I have not yet done the rockery in the backyard, but I took to heart all her suggestions for the front yard, and it looks so much better. "The project included replacement of an existing 20 year old fence with a new one. The requirement was that it had to be tall enough, provide privacy from a neighboring parking lot, and and some minor landscaping (stone retaining wall etc) to create ambience around the backyard patio that improved its usability. Jessica Sims (Office Manager) reached out to me and connected me with their regional business development and project manager Justin Wallet. He visited our house and understood exactly what we were hoping to accomplish. He provided us an estimate along with sketches and options. All communication was sophisticated via e-mail and exuded competence. The work started as planned (a week early at my request). The project manager and his team were on my property for 5 days. They were efficient but were detail oriented and did their job well. Justin took time every day to report on their progress, reached out to let us know if some decisions needed our input. Their work was clean and of high quality. The fence looks great and a week after the job, we have not had a need to call Blue Grass back. I will definite consider them again for work on my property.
