"Jason and his team did a fantastic job removing one tree, removing several (overgrown) bushes that were the size of small trees, cutting limbs off some trees to shape them, and weeding and cleaning up the side of a hill that had become wildly overgrown. They also removed leaves. We bought our house about 18 months ago. The previous owner had not done much (if any) basic lawn care for the past few years so when we bought the house the yard was very overgrown. Once we were settled into the house, we called Jason and he came out a couple days later to look at the job. He had great ideas (letting us know which trees should stay, which trees needed to be taken out because they were crowding other trees and ground cover). He quoted a very reasonable price and said he would be out in about two weeks. About a week later he called us with a start date. He came promptly that day, and started working hard. When we first met he thought it would be two days of work but the three-person team started early and wrapped up after 5 p.m.; they were able to finish it all in one day, which was really impressive. Because he finished in one day, he lowered the price from our original quote. The work was fantastic. We have contracted him to cut our lawn going forward. I have every confidence we can trust him with our lawn."

"Cortese is a well known name in tree service in the area.  I looked at others in the yellow pages and all the others seemed to just be involved in cutting down trees rather than trying to save them.   David Dunn, an arborist from Cortese, evaluated two trees that were in distress - a willow and a Virginia pine.  He indicated that both suffered from types of fungus.   He said that the pine could not be treated or saved but that the willow could be treated and potentially healed.  He gave estimates to treat the willow and trim its dead branches, to remove the diseased pine, and to remove another healthy tree that has grown too large and too close to the house.  Due to the cost of dealing with all three, I decided to just handle the willow at this time.  It was worth it to spend the money to try to save this tree as it is prominent in my front yard. <br /> The crew arrived on time and were courteous and careful with the trimming.  They did a good job and cleaned up well.  The injections were performed by a separate individual.  We'll just have to wait and see if this does the trick."

"Contacted Bright Side about service on my St. Augustine grass lawn; weed & feed, and aerate.  Just wanted someone to check out the lawn which had become more weedy than normal.  Called me within 24 hours and we discussed St. Augustine grass and how rare it is in Knoxville.  Told him my situation and he understood as he was from Texas and had a lot of experience with St. Augustine grass.  Came the following day, measured the lawn, checked for insect infestations and grubs, knelt and analyzed the condition of the grass, and discussed his findings.  He was very knowledgeable about the grass and his information compared favorably with what I had researched on the internet.  He gave me a quote which I accepted.  Someone came the following week and aerated and fertilized the lawn.  Very pleased with the results! <br />"

"The service has been very good. They come in if the lawn really does not need mowed and ask if we would like them to mow or not. There seems to be a little disconnect for other work as far as landscaping and lawn fertilization. I would like them to take more initiative on providing that service."
