"I felt pressured/rushed into signing a contract. I had asked for an estimate, and when the gentleman showed up, he wrote out a contract instead of an estimate. The pricing for the removal of 3 concrete and rock steps, installation of 5 brick steps and 2 handrails was ridiculously high but I wasnâ t given a chance to shop around. The contract didnâ t break down material costs, labor costs or taxes. It was a quick installation of the steps but shoddy work. The bottom step fell apart within the 1st week, causing my 83 yr old stepdad to fall. This company subcontracted for my handrails. There was a complete lack of communication between this company and the rail company. It took over 6 weeks to complete this simple job. . The railings were installed after 4 weeks. While it literally took all day to install the rails, they did turn out quite nice. Also, I was promised replacement bricks in case of chips or breaks in the future and still havenâ t received those. All things considered, I donâ t think I would recommend this company."

After interviewing several landscape companies, we decided on T&J Masonry for our backyard project. After almost two years, our backyard is still as beautiful and functional as it was when it was first built. Tim was great to work with. He took the project from initial design, through prep all the way to completion. He kept us informed at every step of the way. He managed all the sub-contractors and did all the hardscape work himself. His attention to detail insured that everything was done right. This project included seamlessly extending the tile floor from inside the home to the outside patio. It also included installing powered roller shades, gas fire pit, gas grill, putting green, turf play area and a concrete pat for a hot tub. "The septic was redone by Ducks Septic at the end of 2020. While it was being redone, there were a variety of things that were dissatisfactory, but which I ignored as I figured I would deal with it later and was just happy to be able to use the toilet and shower again. The real trouble began in 2023 when I received a notice from the county stating that the septic tanks lacked proper permits. I reached out to Ducks immediately and asked for them to rectify it. I didn't make a fuss, in fact, I just asked for a resolution and them to fix this since they were paid for this initially. My interaction with Tania, a representative from Ducks, further exacerbated the situation. Initially, she insisted I pay for the permit fees, despite my previous payment for the entire job. After a back-and-forth, she claimed she would resolve the issue at no extra cost. However, this marked the beginning of a gaslighting process. Tania purportedly communicated with the county, but as I followed up every two weeks, she provided continuous assurances without any tangible progress. Eventually, she ceased responding altogether, leaving me ignored and frustrated. I expected to have my septic completed in a timely manner, for it to done as paid, which included all permits, and for my landscape to be intact and as it started, but what I got was anything but. First off, the job took forever, the brother of the owner said he was doing it, ‘on the side’, despite not getting a discount? So we were always taken care of at night or when their employees were available. The septic took months to install, not including the time the permit wait was happening, as I understand that’s beyond their control. Secondly, our entire landscape was destroyed, causing thousands in damages. The smallest things being the very large piles of dirt left on the property and the dirt being pushed into our rocks along the inside smaller fenced portion, destroying the foundation of our fencing there. Then the major destruction being our irrigation system was moved, cut, and no longer in working condition as well as moving our entire *newly installed* fence line so it is now crooked. To add insult to injury, the permits. I now have threats from county about my septic not being permitted and thus, am apparently not allowed to use….. I guess a portapotty will work? Maybe I should have thrown a major fit from the get go? Oh, I know, maybe hired a real septic expert. This is the start. I am contemplating seeking recompense for the landscape damage, rectification of the permits, and compensation for the extensive difficulties this ordeal has caused."
