"Vanir did an amazing job on my yard! They were on time, professional, and the results look fantastic. I’ve already gotten compliments from family and friends. Highly recommend!” “I couldn’t be happier with the landscaping work done by [Company Name]. From the very beginning, they listened to my ideas and offered great suggestions to make the space even better. The team showed up on time, worked hard, and paid attention to every detail. The end result completely transformed my yard — it looks beautiful and well put together. I’ve already had several neighbors ask who did the work! If you’re looking for a landscaper who is reliable, professional, and truly skilled, I highly recommend [Company Name].” Do you want me to include specifics about the type of work they did (like patio, garden beds, sod, or trimming), so"

"Sean and his team demolished an old deck and installed a new patio of designer pavers in our back yard. His team arrived promptly and took down the deck and prepared the ground on the first day. On the second day they laid a sand base, installed the paver patio and groomed and seeded topsoil around the patio. The quality of the patio install was excellent and we are very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Sean and his team!"

"Scott and his crew had made a bed for us in 2012. He put part of it on Verizon's landing spot after I told him not to.  It looked nice but Verizon complained and so I had to pay him more to remove the edge and reshape it.  Also in 2015 we contracted to build  a new bed along a chain link fence.  The area is low and needed to be built up.  I asked him to kill the grass before he began but he said it would die from the soil on top.  Well it didn't and now I have to contend with killing the grass among the shrubs.  Also he didn't make the bed deep enough and the wetness killed the shrubs so I have to have the bed made deeper and replace the shrubs. <br />"

"In addition to replacing three ornamental Japanese Maple trees damaged in the November Storm, we wanted to expand and upgrade some existing hardscape around our patio to surround a newly installed backup generator.   We evaluated bids and designs from a total of three local contractors/nurseries and selected Murray Brothers for three reasons: <br /> <ol> <li>1.  Their bid for the work was price competitive - not the highest, not the lowest</li> <li>2.  They asked a LOT of questions and were very proactive in offering suggestions on how to improve the design that we asked for (in the end we accepted ALL of their suggestions - which did increase the price - but absolutely worth it)</li> <li>3.  They were very friendly/easy to work with</li> <li></li> </ol> It took about 8 weeks from the time we confirmed the work to the work being completed (all of the nurseries/landscapers in the Buffalo area were swamped fixing November Storm damage - so the span of time was not unexpected - it was well communicated). <br /> During the install of the original project, we decided to add a new flagstone walkway to connect our patio to the edge of our woods (about 30') and then add a gravel path, edged with large 8-10" stones, from the edge of the new flagstone walk to a storage building/chicken coop about 30' into the woods.  We received a very complete detailed estimate for the change order which we accepted. <br /> The work is now complete and it looks amazing.  They were very professional and prompt and have followed up to ensure that we were satisfied with the work done by the crew. <br /> <br />"

"They are a medium-sized, local family business. They are not huge or a national chain. I like to do local business. The staff is knowledgeable, very helpful and accommodating. Their prices are pretty good. They are not cheap and probably are a little bit towards the higher end. That's what they are known for, but they have a good product."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Orchard Park, NY

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
