"I would give them 10 stars if I could. Angel and his team are my concrete guys for life now. He built a complex 7 ft retaining wall, foundation, built 2 rockline swales, repaired street apron that was cracked and built deck stair piers on a slope and with bedrock drilldowns while undergoing geotech inspections - all work passed with County and geotechnical inspectors in our unusual conditions. I couldn't be happier. Angel and his team are now my trusted partners. Angel caught 2 discrepancies on our engineered plans and because of his attention to detail we were able to get them resolved without big delays. He saved us many times during my project. Angel and his workers are absolutely the hardest working people sometimes doing hand concrete work and many loads of wheel barreling that other contractors wouldn't do."

"We hired System Pavers Fremont to remove an old slanted concrete driveway and pathway and design and install a whole new backyard path, and patio. We couldn't be happier. Nick Lehr and Adrian O'Donoghue were awesome in the design phase, and helped us figure out how to plan it and deal with some complicated drainage issues. The crew that did all the work were diligent, clean and most importantly did really good work. Adrian was here every day supervising the crew and was really communicative, responding to texts immediately. Couldn't recommend them more. And the price of the project was more than reasonable!"

".John Leblanc made a thorough inspection during which I described in detail the work to be done. The job required the removal of a large mound of poor quality, stony soil as well as the removal of a large quantity of coarse gravel and some modifications to a steel reinforced concrete patio.   He sent me an estimate in a few days.  I agreed to the terms and his crew arrived on time on the appointed day.  John's crew worked steadily for 2 1/2 days removing several tons of dirt and gravel and a few rocks all by pick and shovel.  They had to use a concrete cutter to shape the patio and all of the debris was loaded on a large truck by wheelbarrow and hauled away. On the third day they brought in approximately one ton of topsoil and spread it over the new plantable area.  All debris was swept up and the entire area was left clean and ready to be utilized as a garden/patio.  The workers were very open to my suggestions and were willing to do a few extra s such as cutting bevels at the corners of the concrete and bring in good topsoil at no extra charge.  I got exactly what I wanted and the job was better than I hoped for <br />"

"Bryan came out to inspect. He took many pictures and explained what they would do. I found him very professional. On the agreed upon date, five people came to do the work, three at first almost at the scheduled time and later two more. They put some screens over several vents on the roof and on the sides of the building that were possible entrance points for rodents, and they concreted over several possible entry points in the foundation. They also caulked around several pipes and put metal plates over some open places on the building. They also installed a metal plate at the bottom of the basement door. Several people went on the roof and some work was done around the eaves. There were usually several people standing around not seeming to do anything, or they'd all congregate around one spot seemingly discussing the work of one or two people. The paint matching that Steve had said they would do using our paint was not done. We now have unpainted metal plates on the outside of our house. The job was finished five hours after it started, counting There had been only one spot in the entire house, an area about two feet square, where there had been obvious rat infestation. The cleanup and sanitation was sweeping up that area and spraying some fresh-smelling liquid on much of the basement floor. I had to request that they finish the floor and use the vacuum around other places they had worked, which they objected to at first but partially did after their foreman insisted. The bill for that part was $1500. The actual work that was done for that and for rodent proofing, $5500, seems steep for what was actually done. I'll now have to hire someone to do the painting. We have had only one infestation, a couple of weeks ago, in only a small area, after owning the house for about fifteen years. If we don't have any further problems, it will be worth the money, but I feel I paid way too much for what I got."

"A great experience through the whole process. Chris Hardy was the first person to come and take a look at our project. He was super informative, took his time, answered any questions I had on the spot, and came up with a thorough "rough draft" plan for our foundation repair/leveling. James Nicolas was next to come up and perform his tasks and was kind, thorough, and made sure everything was correct prior to the engineering portion of the job. Engineering went smoothly and the communication through this process was great. I even resubmitted a couple portions of the drawings for update and Zack Lavely was very helpful to discuss and update the plan. When all was said and ready to rock, Aveena Lewis was helpful in getting me scheduled and confirming that I was set for the job after reading about what I needed to do in order to be prepared. When the crew arrived on Tuesday morning, Gabriel Leyva, Octavio, Antonio, and Antonio (yeah, 2 awesome Antonios!) were all ready to rock. Each of them are kind and super hard workers. Watching them work was like watching a finely tuned machine. Their synergy was awesome. Gabriel was so kind and knowledgeable and even explained a couple things we'd need to tackle in order to not have a big bay window break, along with making sure inspection passes. Lastly, Lindsey (spelling?) was amazing to speak with over the phone. She is who I communicated with to make payments and will be coming out to do the final walkthrough and inspections to ensure everything is done right and up to code. So kind, so helpful, truly a delight to speak with. I would happily recommend Foundation Repair of CA to folks in our area and hope they get the same team we had. Top notch!"

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Pacific Grove, CA

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
