"Cole also replaced all my edging around my landscaping. He worked with me for both design and my choice of stone and color. He communicated through the project. He is personable, has high integrity, honest and has consistently wanted my feedback. Without hesitation I would recommend Cole and his business to anyone looking for hardscaping projects. I am going to thoroughly enjoy my new patio and have had only positive compliments from my neighbors."

"Charlie and Ashley repaired and added a beautiful brick landing with a limestone veneer to my existing poured concrete steps. They did a terrific job matching the materials and the old style mortar joints to match my existing foundation. Very pleased with their work and highly recommend them."

"We have an old 1930's house that needed a large chimney repointed and cap replaced. Rod at Layman Masonry and his team were referred to us by our roofer, Kelvin Howard, for doing good work. We contacted Rod for a quote, and he came out the very next day to quote a price that was good considering the amount of work to be done. Rob and his team are insured and were courteous and friendly throughout the project. They showed up on time and maintained a clean job site. The project consisted of grinding out and replacing the old mortar, a new chimney cap and to put two coats of paint back on the chimney. The project was completed in 4 days despite rain every other day. We were very happy with the work done and will use Rod again in the future."

"Scapes did our entire landscaping, they installed a fire pit for us with stone pavers. I was expecting the project to be expensive for me, but I found out with a pleasant surprise that Scapes is the most affordable company I’ve ever hired for landscaping. I would highly recommend Scapes to anyone looking to do any project outside. They can do anything you want done and the best part is they show up and get it done."

"Things went well, they were a bit swamped this spring but overall did a good job getting the system installed. I suggest fall installation if you can, this way you can reseed and be ready for a full growing season. As with any installation I had a hiccup or two but they responded swiftly and when we punctured the irrigation lines during deep aeration they were here the next morning to fix things up. Much fairer in price then other companies."

". Mike started out like a ball of fire. He was always telling what he was going to do and didn't do it. He over promised and under delivered. Now a year later a large area has settled in the patio at a low point where a drain should have been placed as per our conversation. He is aware of the problem and refuses to even look at it. I have offered to pay him to repair his work and he ignores the issue. He is clearly ALL SMOKE AND NO FIRE. <br /> Nice guy but cannot back up his work up. <br />"

"The weather hampered the start of the project because the old retaining wall allowed so much water to seep through. The workers were top notch and worked like they were working on their own retaining wall. They took the time and care to ensure the work was done right. One of the things that impressed me was that the workers checked with me throughout the project to make sure I was satisfied. John Watkins kept in touch with me when there were weather delays. I could not have asked for a more pleasant group of people to work with who bent over backwards to make sure their customer was happy. On a scale of 1 to 10, Rolling Hills is a 12, honest."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Paint Lick, KY

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
