Shan-Gri-La Sod Farm is family-owned and operated that started in 1939 as a poultry farm in Willow Grove, PA by my Grandfather Dewey H. Bunch, Sr. In 1967 my father, Dewey H. Bunch, Jr., purchased our farm in beautiful Bucks County, PA and began growing sod. My brother, sisters, and I all worked side by side in the fields with my mother and father learning about the importance of family and hard work, as well as the commitment required to establish and maintain a successful small family business. In 1990 I began the landscape construction division to satisfy customers wanting to deal with one qualified contractor for all of their outdoor needs. We are E.P. Henry authorized paver installers and have had photos of our projects in their catalog each year since 2005. We are currently on E.P Henry's Website where one of our projects is featured as a virtual tour! In 2002, my wife Beth and I purchased the business. Together with our dedicated staff, we still maintain the strong family traditions established over 70 years ago while continuing to adapt to the needs and desires of our modern customers. Overall projects we've done: 1) patio and landscaping with boulders, as well as exterior house lighting 2) outdoor bar install with appliances installed 3) Pergola installation 4) Installation of rock (EP Henry) veneer to exterior concrete walls 5) patio extension for hot tub with additional landscaping Would strongly encourage everyone to call Shan-gri-la for their landscaping/hardscaping needs."

THE HOME HERO posses’ superhuman skills for all your interior handyman projects, on any budget. We have up to 5 full time "HERO's" on staff, and several part-time "SIDE KICKS." We are always available to help you navigate the menacing underbelly of interior home improvement. All estimates are free of charge, and we give you a proposal that breaks down the cost of each task, so you have the freedom to pick and choose what you want done now or later. Best of all, we don't mark up the cost of materials. In fact, we even provide copies of the receipts with your final invoice. Lastly, as our reviews on our website state over and over again, we are meticulous in our craftsmanship, and fastidious about leaving your home cleaner then we found it!

"The OK: Towel bar had pulled out of the wall, that was reset and seems to be holding. Bedroom door that wasn't closing well was planed down at the top, I'm not really sure why I paid for that particular solution in retrospect, but was kind of buying into a grab bag, but fine. Kitchen counter caulked where it met the wall, again, not hard work, but fine. The Wasted Money: My front and back door sweeps seemed to have gaps you could see through to the outside and were coming apart. Since it's a pain to get under doors, I was good to pay a little extra for someone else to take that on. Replacement front sweep is already split again almost immediately. New back door sweep is still intact, but I guess as a "solution" the sill was raised and now there's a new gap there that the rain came through a few days ago. Also, under a section on my invoice somewhat brazenly labeled "custom carpentry" considering the end product, an estimate was given for replacing some of a wood rotted door frame as needed (even including "Reinstall brick molding as needed"). A lower piece of the frame was replaced with some solid wood, but it was seriously just cut out and hunk of wood thrown in. You can't miss it even at a glance, so we're at the barest definition of carpentry on that. But then on the top of the door, the wood was just dug out and replaced with layer after layer of putty. That's fine for a small job, but there was too much replacement needed here to not be replaced with actual wood. And the quote mentioning installing new wood and possibly brick molding was much more indicative of the work needed. The work performed still very much flexes at the touch and has started to visibly come apart again as any person would expect. And of course the shabby paint job done over it still leaves the "repair" very obvious as no effort was expended (or more likely wasn't in the capabilities of the "carpenter") to blend it with the frame. So a job that I very much paid to not be done, and that took a whole handful of visits even to be not completed. Also followed up with a plumbers referral from them and that worker also came up short as should be expected. Definitely would not transact with this company again."
