"Awesome company! Mike came to my home and gave me a very thorough quote for the work I needed, he was very personable and honest. He was able to schedule my panel upgrade for the next day. Quentin(sp) installed my panel, was very efficient and kind! Also installed two lights in my home, did all of this in about 4 hours! Definitely recommend and will use for future electrical work."

"The technician team did a great job of handling all of the projects I threw at them. Everything from installing recessed LED lighting, and fixing my DIY electrical installs (ended up being an issue on the manufacturing side). I will call them back out to install exterior lighting and potentially a surge protector on the home."

"I want to personally thank HR Phoenix Electrical Team for doing an outstanding job installing, wiring and replacing the terminal box in our home and for bring everything up to code. HR Team consist of Roy, Nathan, Chris, Jeremy, Jay, Trenton, Brian and most importantly Paul. They were very customer oriented and friendly with their services and the price was fantastic for the business venture we did togethers. HR Phoenix was honest and fair to us, and he also referred me to an excellent plumber which I also needed badly (Joey, CPT Rons Plumbing). The character of HR Phoenix was beyond reproach. Most businesses I experienced tried to make a huge profit off you before every knowing you as a customer, HR’s family business understood our needs and we the customer knew their business needs as well that chemistry between us made this business venture priceless. HR team was always very flexible and professional, and they taught us what to look for in the future. Kudos for HR Phoenix Team!"

"Super. Alan and nick cut out raised header and widened rough open on my mobile home to accommodate a regular home sized exterior door and security door. Only took 2 hours from start to clean up. They also installed the new hardware. Very knowledgeable, friendly, professional and very reasonable. On time took no breaks cleaned up and vanished. This company has always given me the best service, best price. Always recommended have yet to find a job they cannot handle. Will have them remodeling my dining area and installing windows my next project. They have already helped with emergency plumbing on a below freezing Sunday evening at standard not overtime charges, installed my mini-split ac unit and remodeled a closet/laundry room to large laundry/ pantry with new subfloor , water heater and water softener. Always a superb job. Sara and Alan Gayford are running a super business if you’re wanting quality work at an affordable price these days use ACB services as I do. Thanks Ed devol"

"Mike and his team did an exceptional job. The work itself was an overhaul of an outdated General Pacific Panel and relocation of an out of code closet panel to the outside, mast/riser, etc. This also requires arc faults, GFIs, ground rods, etc. They explained each step, walked me through the ins and outs of where the wiring was going, where the ground rods were getting placed, what types of breakers were needed for code, and came in below budget. Hard to find folks that shoot you straight, take care of all the additional questions you have, and allow you to make small changes to statement of work all under budget (I.e. installed an additional outlet and hardwired a ring doorbell through masonry). Would recommend you check them out, especially if you need an old General Pacific panel replaced or 50s/60s electrical brought up to code."

"While I don’t pretend to understand anything about electricity, my husband hired Ready Electric to complete work on our house, and we couldn’t be happier. Chad was professional, efficient, incredibly knowledgeable, and went above and beyond my husband’s expectations. We highly, highly recommend this company!"

Small jobs welcome

"KC Electric Systems came through for me. I wanted an electrical outlet installed in the garage. Clark McNulty provided me with the options available and reminded me that it needed to be a GFCI outlet since it was a garage. He removed an outlet from our front entryway and used that line to drill through the wall, which was the perfect spot in the garage for the new outlet. All the process took less than an hour. Everything worked perfectly, and Clark cleaned up and left the place better than he found it. I also asked Clark to assist by installing some light switches that could be controlled by wifi. He was familiar with the switches I had purchased an installed different part of the house and all worked perfectly. I have an electrician for life! Thank you Clark and thank you KC Electric Systems!!!"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Plano, TX

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
