"Everyone told me that home repair companies would likely be taking only big roofing jobs after Hurricane Zeta hit New Orleans and that I might have to wait a month or longer to replace a single missing shingle that blew off during the Category 2 hurricane. While it definitely doesn’t meet the definition of a “big job,” even a single missing shingle can result in potentially significant (not to mention expensive) water damage inside the home the next time it rains. So, we called our go-to home-repair company, One Man and A Toolbox, the Monday after the hurricane. It isn’t often that I leave friends slack-jawed but that’s just what happened when I informed them that One Man and a Toolbox was sending one of their experienced workers (Henry) out to repair our roof the very next day (Tuesday). Henry not only repaired the roof shingle in question but also fixed another errant shingle he spotted while up on our roof. Total cost: $80. We are so grateful to One Man and a Toolbox for their amazing customer service and professional quality work — especially after a hurricane. This company is a class act. "I think I paid an hourly rate like $125 per hour. He came out pretty promptly and fixed the leak. The water was leaking, coming from the house underground. We had already dug it out and found out where it was, as opposed to having them come, hunt for it from the house to the street. We had already found the leak, but my husband was hesitant to repair it, saying "if I don't do it exactly right, we'll still have to call them anyway". So, I said, "just call them," So he came out, and within 15 to 20 minutes he was done because we already did all the harder work."

"It went pretty good with D & A Energy Solutions. I was pleased with it but they couldn't really do totally what I wanted done but it wasn't their fault, it was just the house, they couldn't get under it because the house was too close to the house. It took a little while but it was the weather so they can't put that stuff in there I think below 50 degrees. The first weekend they tried to do it but it took them a couple of times out to get it done but that really wasn't their fault. I thought the price was fair. I hadn't really shop with other people but I'm okay with the price. As far as I know, the quality is pretty good but I haven't gone underneath. I'd recommend them."
