We needed to replace an old asphalt driveway for our son and daughter-in-law's backyard wedding and, after the work was completed, we received numerous compliments from our neighbors and family members as to how great the pavers look. We are about to undertake the replacement of a fence adjoining our neighbor's property and are excited to know that Paramount Pavers & Construction also does fence construction. "Having managed dozens of renovations over the years, both commercial and residential, I can say that Joe Messineo is the best contractor I have ever hired, in any craft. No minor distinction. A 3rd generation master stone mason, Joe is an old school modern craftsman who produces quality builds. I engaged him to demolish and rebuild virtually all of the hardscape at my home---driveway, side walkways, French drain, brick patio inserts, and over 150 feet of retaining walls. A 7-week job, with more than a few moving parts. Joe’s team, Enrique and Claudio, worked like stunt men in a choreographed manner, carefully removing thousands of pounds of old concrete and cinder blocks, positioning rebar and framing the sites for cement. The worksite was clean and orderly at the end of each day. Then, 2 generations of Messineo---Joe, with a guest appearance by his father, built a complex series of retaining walls and brick inserts, that will clearly last decades longer than the original work from 1959. Every line dead-level, every elevation plumb, and every surface finished perfectly. The concrete team that completed the job with 2 truckloads of wet mix, delivered flawless slabs of new surface. Their overall level of craftsmanship and professionalism is not often to be seen these days, and it deserves recognition when it arrives."

"We wanted our backyard to host guests and the rest with a natural touch. Josef helped us come up with a mix of paver patio and turf. The design worked out better than we thought, making the space look bigger. His team handled the grading and laid a proper base under both sections. The turf drains well, and the pavers stay cool even in the heat. Everything is solid, ad we now use that part of the yard every weekend."

"Mark Ovitch and Eminent Construction are the best! My husband and I got 3 estimates to redo our concrete driveway which was being destroyed by tree roots. Then we got Mark's estimate to install pavers instead of concrete. It was less expensive to do pavers, and it looks so much nicer!!! We were also able to install a front walkway, which I've been wanting for more than 25 years. His workers are very professional, and the project was completed in 3 days!! "We hired this company - Hugo is the owner and has been absolutely the easiest person I have ever done any project with. He has an amazing work ethic and does excellent work. I even went so far as to tell him to put his sign in our yard. He not only did sod (after removing all of the cactus and agave from the front yard) he made me planters and then we liked his work so much, we had him do our new brick pathway. Well, one project leads to another and his pathway looked so good, we had him do new brick stairs on the porch as well. Then we added the brick caps on the pillars next to the stairs. We changed our mind a little here and there and he rolled with the changes like they were his idea. It was an amazing collaboration. I will post pics as soon as We seal the brick pathway. We liked him so much that we hired him for our weekly maintenance of the yard, sprinklers and all the plants he installed. Not to mention we added a planter under a planter that was already there but looked terrible next to all of his brick work so now we have him working on that too! I cannot rave enough about all that he has done and the quality of his work. Every single one of his workers we wonderful to work with as well. I wish they had a 5 start plus rating as that is what I would give him!"

"Our backyard was in need of a redo: We struggled to grow grass, and we wanted a space that would accommodate a trampoline and a small garden, as well as a dining table and sitting area, but still feel green and lush. After meeting with a few landscapers who suggested we get rid of the trampoline, rip up our existing brick patio and put pavers everywhere, we met Alisa from Motti's team. As a landscape designer, she really listened to what we wanted, and had great ideas for how to incorporate it all, as well as suggestions for garden planters and furniture. A week after our meeting, we got detailed plans that showed us just what the yard would look like, as well as what plants would look and work best. We then worked with Motti to tweak the plans, finalize the budget, and pick out materials, etc., and we were able to schedule the project within a few weeks time. Once the job started, Motti's team of workers were professional and efficient, and Motti stopped by daily to check the progress. Our backyard is now a true extension of our living space, and it's welcoming to kids and adults. A great big thanks to Motti and his team!"

"G&L came out to hardscape our lawn, planter box and driveway. Mike met with us a few times and gave us designs and layout for planter (and some drought resistant plants that will continue to grow). We also had a few meetings with Dee to discuss the schedule, design, paving stone samples (from Angeles stone), and address drainage solutions for the synthetic lawn. Very accommodating to our schedule - holding off for 2 weeks while we were out of town. Once work started, Carlos and his did a quick and superb job with demo, clearing, pavers and turf. They were all super friendly and answered any and all questions we had during the process. We're happy with result(s) and would recommend!"

"I wish I could give this company a wonderful review. But, that is not going to be the case. Our System Pavers salesman, Mr. Mike Ammenwerth, took care of drawing up the plans. He was nice enough... However, communicating with him afterward was, in fact, a challenge in itself. We signed the contract for our Paver project, which included Pergola Patio Cover, which turned out to be a separate project. We were assigned a couple of *project managers*... First, it was Beau Johnston, the Repair Technician, who had to be pulled off the job, then it was Mr. Zakk Schot who ended up being our primary point-of-contact for the majority of the project. We also had interaction with the company Contraction Manager, Mr. Frank Gori. All in all... Communication was spotty at best throughout this experience (with the exception of dealing with Zakk). The Pergola patio cover became an issue as time went on. We advised Mike Ammenwerth that we wanted additional shade than we were receiving from our existing wooden patio cover. Mike told us *no problem* and recommended the Pergola. Well, the Pergola, once it was installed, sat higher (taller) with a less angle and, frankly, provided less shade (or really no shade) when we compared it to our old patio cover. It is attractive looking without question... However, now we have to install roll down shades to the sides and front of our beautiful patio cover. Not what we expected at all. Our patio cover faces to the South. So... Be very much aware of which side of the house YOU intend on the installation of the very same product. Had I done more research on companies that perform this very same type of service, I would have saved myself a heck of a lot of money. System Pavers profit markup is outrageous (I found out after-the-fact). The company itself only hires subcontractors for their work. The paver subcontractor (Mr. Rozival Sousa of Paver Performance, Lic #1060961) asked me what I paid for our paving contract... He gave me a *look*, then told me that he could have done it for half the price with the very same material and guarantees. Lesson learned. This company depends on the ignorance of the client. The subcontractor, and his team, did a reasonably nice job with our paving project. However, they were very sloppy with the concrete residue left behind on all edges of the paver boundaries. They also left lots of rock and sand that we had to clean up. We filled 3 large trash cans and still had more to go. Some sprinkler pipes were broken as well... However, those were repaired. For the price I (we) paid for this construction project, I certainly expected more attention to detail when it was all said and done. Would recommend this company to someone else? Probably not. Do your research! More importantly, take several bids from various companies. You will eventually discover that System Pavers is way overpriced."
