"I highly recommend anyone needing  electrical work done in their home to call Daniel Orr.  Daniel responded quickly to my call, and arrived on time. He is very professional, personable, and honest and up front with you.  His work ethic is top-notch. He is very meticulous,  takes pride in his work, is thorough and cleans up after the job.  I like that he takes the time to engage in conversation with his customers about the work he is doing and is genuine. I appreciated him explaining exactly what was causing the electrical issue in my home, why it probably happened and how he was going to repair it.  I also appreciate how open and  responsive he was to to questions I had about other work that I want done around the house. I will definately be a repeat customer.  Thank you Daniel for a job well done!"

"Peter is a professional! I got a few quotes and while Peter's wasn't the lowest, I could tell he takes pride in his work and would make sure the job was done correctly. On the scheduled date, he and two workers showed up on time and got to work. The work we had done included installing a fan brace, medallion, and chandelier in our living room, installing a medallion over a chandelier in our guest bedroom, and installing a medallion on a chandelier 20+ feet up (that required two ladders and a plank straddling a staircase). The guys worked fast and once the hard stuff was done, Peter left it to his guys to clean and wrap it up (which is good because Peter's hourly rate is higher than his workers). Overall, was very satisfied with their work and will be hiring them again for my electrical needs."

"Jason and his team with Cotti-Johnson did an excellent job updating our electrical boxes, installing the washer/dryer hookup, and getting us setup with a generator! Sam, our assigned electrician, even took the time to go through the entire operation of the generator from A-Z. I would definitely recommend them for any electrical work!"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Plymouth, MA

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
