The amount of work required was extensive, being both inside and out, They paid a great deal of time and effort to assure the work was done right. He also consulted with me every step of the way to assure things were done to my satisfaction (ie. color selection, landscaping options, material selection). The cost was fair for the work that needed to be done, and if you consider the high quality of the work, the price was very reasonable. I was offered options to modify the cost along the way. This was one of best experiences I have ever had with a contractor that had to do significant work."

"Mr. Blankenship and his designer met with us multiple times to help us figure out exactly what we wanted to do and gave us estimates on the cost of all the different options so that we could make knowledgeable decisions that helped us get the very best outcome and stay within our budget.  Mr. Blankenship went out of his way to meet with us when our schedule allowed and was always professional.  They provided us with drawings and detailed contracts outlining exactly what would be done.  Once the work began they worked diligently to finish the projects.  One of my neighbors remarked that they seemed very conscientious and that he wished he had used Alternative Building Concepts on a job he just had done.  Mr. Blankenship even came out several times just to meet with the carpet layers because he wasn't happy with some of the seams.  All the work they did was first rate and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.  Everything Alternative Building Concepts did improved our home and we would not hesitate to use them again. <br />"

"<p>He did an excellent job.    At the time, he was managing the maintenance of an apartment complex, so he was only available on the weekends.  However, the work was completed every weekend, including holidays (July 4 specifically).   He kept us appraised of progress and tweaked his work along the way.   For example, when he started we didn't think there was that much dirt and sediment on the boat launch. and we asked that the dirt be placed upon the upper level.   Once we realized how much dirt there was, he changed the design of the wall to include deadmen (I think that's what he called them) to ensure the wall wouldn't collapse.   He did a wonderful job and would periodically request we review his work to ensure we were happy.   He is a hard worker and never sits still.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"This porch is beautiful!!!  Small crew of four men did a fantastic job.  Great attitudes, easy to work with.  They made suggestions, and some things got changed at the last minute but they were for the better.  Quality work with the laying of the block foundation and the large concrete area.  Good carpentry work as well.  This was a hard working group of men that didn't try to cut corners or drive the price up.  I would recommend them highly. <br />"
