"I have had KC Tree Service remove very large trees that were in very precarious locations on my property. They were like skilled surgeons removing monster trees next to wires, patios, our propane tank, etc. He removed 8 dead trees last year and a very large three trunk tree this year which had to be "climbed and cut." Andrew and his crew do impeccable work with a gracious, polite attitude. When they leave, you cannot find a branch, a leaf or a trace of sawdust where they worked. His prices are more than fair and he gives a free price quote before any scheduling so there are no surprises when it is time to pay. They even hung a very large Bat House high up in an appropriate tree for me without complaint, and they did it with the same excellence with which they cut down the trees. I had to wait for KC Tree Service to do the work because of the March storm and because I am located outside of their normal work area but I would not use anyone else. I cannot say enough good things about this company."

"Highly recommend Mueller tree service. Outstanding work done by Brandon and his very experienced crew. They took a very tall beech tree that was extremely close to my house and garage and systematically removed it in a very selective and controlled manner. Very nice low cut on the tree stump and excellent job site cleanup. Also took down two other trees and cleaned up branches hanging over my house. All at a very reasonable price. You won't be disappointed."

"Quality materials and quality workmanship even though the job was small. (Many workers refuse small jobs) Personable, efficient and speedy crew. These two men were the best crew I ever hired from Angie's list. Even though Angie's list is a referral service, we sometimes get poor workmen. Let me assure that this man and his partner will give you quality."

"The crew took on the basement remodel/basement finish project as soon as possible, which is rare to get in the construction business! They were always on time and communicated thoughout the entire process. Any questions or concerns I had were addressed right away. I felt taken care of, again that is rare to get customer service like this from businesses nowadays, especially after peak COVID. The quality of the work and the reasonable pricing are what impressed me most! It's a no-brainer to go with these guys. I highly recommend them for any home projects."

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Pocono-manor, PA

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
