"He hired Tom Harrop to install kitchen cabinets and a heater under the kitchen sink, vinal flooring, plastering in a small area, add ceiling lighting and a shiplap ceiling. Once the work was done I asked Tom to do a walk through and he refused saying he stood behind his empoyees work. Here are the PROs and CONs. PROs: 1.) work was completed in a timely fashion 2) they did a beautiful job on the shiplap ceiling and lighting. CONs: 1) The brand new white cabinets had some nicks requiring paint touch up. 2) Terrible job on the floors! Uneven spots, lengths are uneven at the edges, gaps showing, no finish work. Terrible job!! 3) plastering looks like it wasn't even done! And there is some peeling of paint on the plaster job. Terrible job!!! 4) we were promised and paid for an under the kitchen sink heater which we never received. Called multiple times with no response. Lesson learned, will never use Tom Harrop again!!"

"If you need work done promptly, with high quality, and for a fair price, HIRE COASTAL C&C!! From start to finish Claudio and his team exceeded my expectations. Claudio asked excellent questions while visiting to prepare a quote, and made a handful of recommendations that ended up saving time and money and producing a better finished product. I received the quote just a day or two later, and it was the only quote out of five different contractors that immediately seemed like a fair price for the work. The whole team; Claudio, Dan, Bruno, and Jameson, were respectful, diligent, tidy, and clearly experienced. They were able to work independently and make good decisions in real time to keep the work moving without delay. As a result, they knocked out in a week what could easily have taken two or more. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ensures equal access and usability for individuals with disabilities. For example, people in wheelchairs or using walkers should have reasonable physical access to public spaces, like sidewalks, businesses, and government buildings. Accommodations and building modifications to achieve ADA compliance may include entrance ramps, handrails, and wider door openings.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires doorways to be at least 32 inches of clearance to provide reasonable wheelchair access. It’s not that the doorway itself needs to be 32 inches wide, as the door hinge and other hardware may reduce the actual clearance by a few inches. In most cases, the door frame needs to be wider than that so that a person has at least 32 inches to pass through when the door is fully open. Most wheelchairs measure 25 to 36 inches in width.
Along with the cost of widening doorways, you may also invest in several other common house alterations and modifications. The average total cost to build a handicap-accessible house ranges from $700 to $8,000, depending on what changes you want to make. Adding grab bars and handrails can cost up to $500 while installing a stair railing costs $900. Installing a stair lift costs $1,500 to $5,000, whereas installing an elevator costs as much as $60,000. Other changes may involve lowering thermostats, remodeling bathrooms, widening hallways, and installing wheelchair ramps.
