"Olson was prompt in getting a technician out to help us--same day. When he arrived Lowell was terrific, and did not try to up sell us in any way. He also tested everything for safety and was both friendly and informative to speak with. One of the best experiences that we've had. Lowell knew what he was doing, and inspired complete trust in him and in Olson."

He is a true craftsman and professional and a true gentleman. His craftsmanship rebuilding our wall is outstanding and our customer experience with him beat our expectations. We highly recommend him."

"Very well pleased, excellent job. Began with a good layout which included suggestions based on having done other properties having similar issues (like a number of dogs living at the house that potentially get into the mulched area and destroy them). Made good selections of trees and shrubs that enhanced the property while being hardy enough for the elevation and wind conditions atop the Palmer Divide. Saved us money by suggesting that only a portion of the overall front area needed to be landscaped in order to obtain a good appearance from the road. Work was done quickly and effectively - was completed in one block of time as adequate machinery and staff were brought in to finish the job before moving on to some other project. With the new landscaping in place we shortly thereafter ask them to return and update the 300' driveway as well. The price was not low but we consider it a much more professional looking result than the other bids we have received that were slightly lower in cost."

"<strong>Excellent job! </strong>Matt, the boss/designer, is a <strong>true pro </strong>-- he took my initial plan and turned it into an attractive and functional addition to our home.  One of my motivations in choosing him from among three other bidders was the <strong>professionalism of his design;</strong> yes, it was created on computer, but it was completely labeled, with elevations plus a 3-D rendition and a materials list.  None of his competitors went to that trouble.  <br /> His crew ({"Vic" and assistant) were <strong>amazing craftsmen</strong>.  To accommodate a tree trunk, they shaped the top railing of the deck without damaging either the tree or the overall aesthetic of the design--it seems to flow!  <br /> The major part of the project was completed in less than a week.  Powder-coating the window-well grates took another week.  <br /> The crew was <strong>meticulous</strong> in maintaining a clean work site; every day, they cleared away tools and debris (they parked a dumpster in front of the house).  Despite the daily rain showers, they managed to put in 7-8 hour days, making quick work of my project.  They were pleasant, cheerful, and courteous. <br /> The only possible criticism I could muster is that on Labor Day, two crew guys showed up to finish the below-deck screening.  It was a surprise, given the holiday, but since we were anxious to have the job finished, I let them go ahead.  When I mentioned it to Matt, he apologized profusely and said he would remind his crew about calling first. <br /> Because the existing concrete stoop leading from the kitchen door was badly deteriorated, I decided to eliminate that access from the deck; unfortunately, the concrete (dating from 1957) could not be entirely removed (see my review for Flat & Fancy Concrete).  Matt and I devised a method of screening off the underside  of the deck area; not only did this hide and unattractive mound of concrete, it provided a useful new storage area for garden tools, supplies, etc. <br /> The deck is composite material, and the guys who assembled the deck and put on the finishing touches did a splendid job.  The guy who did the final painting of framework made a special trip to Home Depot to get a customized color match! <br /> After the recoated grills were put in place, there was a slight discrepancy in level--the grates were not flush against the floor of the deck.  One call to Matt and the problem was resolved by day's end. <br /> <strong>BOTTOM LINE</strong>:  if you need a deck, call Matt at New Creations!  I'm only sorry I don't have need of another deck.  Perhaps a gazebo? <br /> <br />"

"It went Awesome!! Wesley drew up a plan of what he could do in my front yard including plants and flowers and rock and mulch. The price he quoted also included changing my sprinkler system into a drip system to help maintain the health of all of the new plants. Everything turned out beautiful. I have gotten so many compliments from family and neighbors!! I recommended him to my parents that needed some things done in their yard and they have also been extremely pleased with everything. I would highly recommend Wesley to anyone looking to refresh or replace and landscaping they might need."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Pueblo, CO

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
