"Robert solved a problem I've had for a long time. My house was built Before homes had to carry so many electronics, my circuit breaker was tripping a lot. He created a dedicated outlet and so far the problem seems to be solved. Besides being fair in price, he's a very nice person and I'm so glad I found him and hopefully he'll be my go-to electrician in the future. I couldn't recommend him more highly."

"James Seays was lovely to work with and I'd absolutely recommend Seays Electric to anyone who needs electrical work done. We came to them with a few "head scratchers" left behind from the previous home owner and another not-so-great electrician we had hired previously, which left us in unsafe conditions. Seays was able to diagnose and quickly fix our issues, and at a very reasonable price. Pricing and scope conversations felt very fair and transparent, and we really feel that they went above and beyond. I am very glad we went with them and we will definitely be using their services for our rental home as well! Don't hesitate to hire James - you won't be disappointed! "

"Electrical Era was very attentive to provide service. I had wanted to make the change to an electrical vehicle but i was skeptical on installing a charging station. When i contacted him he was very responsive and explained the process. They gave me a quote. Once I decided to ok the project it wasnâ  t long before he started and finished. Im very satisfied with the work."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
