"Highly recommend this company. Damian gave me a fair quote of $425 to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet for EV charging and was able to complete the job the same day. Professional, responsive, punctual, and the work came out clean and solid. Everything was explained clearly and the whole process was smooth. I’d definitely use him again for future electrical work."

"Matt arrived on time as scheduled, asked what was the nature of problem, went about troubleshooting the source of the power outage, and within an hour had located and repaired the problem. This was an "intermittent" power outage that had happened months prior and re-occured this week. Our garage power failure was tricky to isolate as no breakers or GFI switches were tripped anywhere. In addition, only one of two exterior outlets was dead as well. Since our garage had no "resettable" GFI outlets installed, Matts experience led him to believe that the problem source was actually in the guest bathroom, even though all power in that bath was working normally. Sure enough the problem was a loose Hot wire on the bath light switch. After tightening the wire screw, power was restored to the garage. Matt explained everything as he went along and cleaned up everything after the work was completed. I would most definitely recommend and use Bolt Electric again in the future! Experience and quality all the way! Thanks."

"Mr. Electric was a dream to work with. I called them out to fix another contractors work. The day of the appointment, Mr. Electric sent me a text with a bio and picture of the installer (Kenny Lawrence). Kenny arrived on time and gave me a quote before any work was done. Kenny was very knowledgeable and personable. I felt very comfortable and I was confident that the work would be done correctly. Once the work was completed, Kenny gave me the bill and it was identical to the quote provided before the work was done. There weren’t any additional/hidden charges. I would highly recommend Mr. Electric for any electric needs, especially fixing another contractor’s poor work. :) Thanks Kenny!"

"Ron was great from the moment he replied to my email. He installed a 50 amp 240v outlet for my EV in a few hours and the craftsmanship and cleanup was second to none. I would hire him for any electrical job in a heartbeat."

"Arrived on time.  Worked efficiently.  Installation was very clean.  Added a dimmer switch for the chandlier.  Cleaned everything up when finished.  Demonstrated use.  I would use them again for sure.

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Red Rock, AZ

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
