It was an intriguing job since it involved various metal angles & trying to adhere to code requirements. There was an initial railing done, but we were not happy with the fact that it wasn’t adhering to code standards. He created a new railing to replace the initial one. We are extremely pleased with the job he did. He’s young, professional & really worked with us and the initial design that we intended to have completed for our main floor renovation. He’s very flexible & great with any creative input you may express to him. When we will need future Iron work done we feel extremely confident that he will be the one to do our future projects. You'll get a better product for less money. With windows it's all about heat loss and they measure that with what they call a U-Factor, the lower the number the better. "Modernized Exteriors seem to have built a decent deck for a decent price but in a somewhat sloppy and dishonest way. First, they left hundreds of pieces of debris including over 100 nails, screws, and other fasteners, and hundreds of pieces of the old deck lying around, including some pieces over six feet long, many with embedded nails sticking out. For months, nearly every time my daughters went out to play they came back with a handful of nails and screws. Second, the old deck had a notch through which the gutter downspout passed to reach the drain in the ground. Instead of cutting a notch for the downspout, they just tossed it behind a bush allowing the gutter to empty directly onto the deck. They promised a 12-month warranty, saying they'd come out to correct any defects. When I mentioned the disconnected gutter they initially said they'd fix it, but then ignored my follow-up messages when I asked them to actually do it. So they may not honor their promises."
