"Blake returned my call that day for work that included installation of lights and outlets in basement, installation of a dedicated outlet in garage and troubleshooting some other issues. 4 days later the work started and after some initial changes a majority of the work was completed. Finished the job the following week with a half day of work. Called with an issue regarding a GFI switch. They were out the next day and determined that the issue was with the Christmas lights not the electrical wiring. Nick was polite, punctual, and cleaned up after himself. Would definitely use again and highly recommend."

"Jim is an experienced electrician. We hired him to install an 220 line to our garage for the purpose of charging our new EV. Experienced in this type of job, Jim arrived with everything needed to complete the work (i.e. running the electrical line from the Box - which need a bit of modification - through the basement ceiling to the garage, and installing the 220 receptacle in the garage.) Only slight hitch was the the actual 220 outlet which was mounted in such a way that I could not mount the actual vehicle charger in the best location on the garage wall. Everything worked fine, I just have to come up with a fixture to permanently mount the charger. Jim did all the work within a 2 hour window. I think the cost was a bit on the pricey side (though Jim said that his price would be among the cheapest around. I'm not so sure of that). Bottom line however, I chose Jim because he impressed me that he was fully capable of doing a quality job, which he did. So I am a satisfied customer."

"I highly recommend ESP Electrical. First, they were very responsive, calling me within a few days of my email (and this is unusual in today’s contractor industry). Second, they were able to set up a time to come out within a few days. Third, when the guys— Mike and Tony— arrived they were friendly and highly professional, even to the extent of putting a piece of cardboard under their van to keep any oil off the driveway (and the van wasn’t even leaking!). They assessed the situation quickly, discussed some configuration and pricing options with me, and then did a very nice job in a few hours. We are extremely happy with the outcome and I will definitely be asking them to do more work on our 1931 colonial in the near future. Again, highly recommended!"

"Tim is excellent! He was on time, extremely tidy, and he alone, made the electrical work for my kitchen remodel a smooth and easy process. Here's a list of the work he diligently completed. 1. Updated Siemens 100 amp sub-panel from an outdated Wadsworth panel. 2. Installed 7 new recessed lights in my dining room and kitchen. 3. Added dedicated circuits for my microwave, dishwasher, and above the countertops. 4. Installed dimmer switches added additional outlets in my dining room and living room. 5. Installed very elegant under cabinet lighting throughout my kitchen. I promise you... when it comes to electrical, Tim can do it all. And that's just the start. He's was also a joy to have in my home. He's kind, relatable, respectful, tidy, and takes great pride in his work. If you're looking for an electrician, I highly suggest you hire this young man. I can't say enough good things about my experience with him! THANK YOU TIM!! Attached is a photo of the under cabinet lighting."

"Everyone was really professional and helpful. One of the projects took longer than anticipated, so they had to send someone out the next day to finish the last project. While I wasn't home for that work being done, the tech that was sent out, from what I was told, was very professional."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Richfield, OH

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
