"The owner responded immediately to a request for estimate. Met with them within a couple days. Received detailed estimate within 24 hours. Scheduled the work within a week. Painting was completed all in one day. Well done. Cleaned up well afterward. No paint drips on floor or walls. Would absolutely use again. Responsive, punctual, professional, reasonable pricing."

"Straight Line Painting was contracted to apply a special waterproofing membrane material over the top half of a 180 ft2 stone wall section in front of my house (about 90 ft2). I would do the lower section of the wall. The contractor's portion of the work would require their crew to work off ladders. Because of extensive rain water damage to structural members behind this wall (accumulated over many years and now repaired), a waterproofing material was needed to waterproof this wall. Two products by Semco were selected and purchased by me on line (6 gals of membrane material @ $385 + Semco Stone Soap for surface preparation @ $25 = $410 total). The application of these products required wall surface preparation with the Stone Soap followed by 2 coats of waterproofing material. The Stone Soap and the first waterproofing coat require 1 or 2 days of dry weather (no rain) before and after each application prior to applying the final waterproofing coat. This required the contractor to return on 2 different days after the Stone Soap is applied and rinsed. Straight Line Painting was very accommodating and flexible following this application schedule. We had some rain days during this project and had to adjust the work schedule a couple of times. Straight Line Painting was accommodating and flexible when the schedule had to be changed because of weather. I give Straight Line Painting 5 stars on all aspects of this job. They are responsive, flexible, and professional. Their cost was very reasonable and their work quality was very good to excellent. The total cost of the job was $850 for the contractor (labor only for upper half of wall + $410 for materials which I purchased resulting in a total of $1260."

"This experience was an exercise in restraint, patience, and forgiveness, but we made it. Please forgive the lengthy review. <br /> <br />  We selected a product that was not in stock and Emilie was great about keeping us updated. She also came out to look at the project just as the installation was finishing up. I can't even stress enough how vital she was in keeping things afloat. Working with her was the only saving grace. She gets an A in responsiveness and professionalism, but the owners... <br /> <br />    <em>The downsides:</em> <br />    - GJ didn't show up and didn't call for a scheduled appointment, after I waited at home for hours. During the next scheduled appointment window, he hadn't arrived with only 15 minutes left. With the shop closing and not trusting him to show, I called the store. He hadn't even left yet, but assured me he had not forgotten AGAIN. He did show, eventually. <br /> <br />    - They knew that our materials were coming and it would need to be cut. However, before the install, they miraculously did not have the blade (?) they needed to cut it. Apparently, the materials "are h****** [their] blades.? How much planning does it take? <br />      Yes, they told us a couple of days in advance, but we had already moved our plumber around once. It disrupted other trades, as well. This seemed to escape their minds, because SEVERAL TIMES I heard about how much they had to pay to overnight something, how overtime labor had to be paid to get my materials cut on time (which it wasn't), and so on.  I say: It's the cost of doing business. Telling the customer everything behind the scenes is just unprofessional. <br /> <br />    - The install took two days, which was fine and I knew it might be a possibility. (Thanks Emiie!) Problem was, nobody could tell me when they would be back to do the second part of the job.  <br /> <br />    - During the removal, our drywall paper was torn, to which GJ's response was, ?Yeah, that sometimes happens because it would have looked bad if we cut it. You can just paint over it.? That would have made sense, except the drywall was cut, too! By cut, I mean multiple, unnecessarily deep cuts. Luckily, my drywall guy was here and I was able to PAY HIM to patch both places. I don't think that CC+ covers damage done during install/removal, since the owner was here to see it.  <br /> <br />    - Also, with the install...   <br />     <em>Day 1:  </em>The guys installed a section crooked. <br />    They left their drilled quartz plugs and other pieces of my old counter in the base cabinets. No, this isn't a dust-free process, but they should pick up the big mess. <br />    There were pieces of my old material left behind in my garage.     <br />    Drywall issue. <br />   <em> Day 2: </em> They argued with me about the crooked top, but finally fixed it upon my insistence. (this was off by 3/4" over a 26" span - very visible) <br />    They installed pieces in a different order than what I asked, thereby interfering with other trades. <br />    When I went out to the driveway to ask a question, the guys were speaking rudely about me. Specifically referencing my home and me. Say what you want about a customer - AFTER YOU LEAVE! <br />    Finally, they didn't have the right hardener or something for my granite seam. (? Whatever that means.)   <br />      **Of note, the day 2 guys DID clean up after themselves. <br />   <br /> I don't even know what else happened. I'm hesitant to leave this review, because there is one outstanding issue and it was difficult enough to get the job done in the first place. This should be sufficient to decide whether or not to use CC+. I won't be back."

"The deal was just what I needed, design consultation for a kitchen. However, provider seemed surprised when he saw my kitchen has been completely gutted and I needed layout ideas. He said he only provided cabinet suggestions. He was very nice about it. Just seemed the ad didn't match the service to be provided. Thanks."

"It was a two week project. They were honest. They are really good at what they do. They did an excellent job. He went above and beyond. He helped me with things he did not have to do, which was really nice."

"At that point it was fairly early in the process and I still was having some sticker shock, so I actually think they were fairly priced. I didn't end up using them but I did end up paying fairly close to what they had estimated. Compared to some other estimates I got they were on the lower side. I thought they were very professional because, really, what they are is a contractor basically, and they sub-contract out the different specialties. The guy I talked to was not the guy who was going to be doing the work. But they were very professional and I would use them. They showed up, everything was in writing and they were very professional. I didn't have to wait a really long time."

He was very professional and very detailed in his review of the house to prepare the quote. The quote he gave was very competitive and reasonable. Had we not used a painter that our realtor referred, I would have selected Big J. I would highly recommend them."

"I purchased this service through an Angie's List Big Deal as I hadn't been able to find anyone locally willing to do several small jobs for a reasonable price. Dave (and his daughter, Amy) arrived at the pre-arranged time and began work promptly. He worked on the outside tile repair job, while she worked inside on the drywall crack. They were both very pleasant and efficient. Amy repainted the area herself where the drywall crack was repaired - a task other people would have left to the homeowner. They cleaned up after themselves well and left the area as neat as they found it. Dave returned the following day to caulk the tiles he replaced/repaired. I can't judge the overall quality of work based on these small jobs, but I have arranged for him to repair the rotting fascia board on my outdoor shed - a much bigger job. He said he would be able to do this by the end of this month, so we'll see how well it goes. So far so good and I'm glad to find someone willing and able to take on smaller jobs. This was a great deal for me and more than worth the cost of the deal! <br />"
