"I have been waiting for  heavy rain to evaluate the drainage system.  Have given up for this year and will evaluate based on two medium rain falls.   The work was done on 1/8/15
Salvador called me a day after I called him about the work.  He came out to give an estimate and on work day,  he and his workman arrived on time. 
Due to tree roots, water was pooling against front of house.  Salvador and his workman dug a trench in front of house and then from front of house to street.  He put in two intake drainage holes in front of house and one outlet drainage hole at the front of yard by sidewalk.  The trench from house to street involved digging out a long stretch of grass which was carefully replanted after the piping was put in.  He hauled away excess dirt.  I use a lot of wood chips in my yard and he put rocks over the intake pipes to keep the wood chips out of the system.  He left the yard clean and neat.  He finished the job in one day.
The drainage system has worked great.  The price Salavor charged seemed fair to me; however, I have never hired anyone to do this type of work before so I do not know what would be considered a good price.  I discussed other yard related projects for the future and would hire Salvador and his men again.
