"Robert Helms owner of R&R responded promptly to phonecall & was able to arrange a date within 1 week to meet with me to discuss roof tile concerns & provide thorough inspection. Robert is consummate professional - paying close attention to details, concerns & hands on examination of roof. I was impressed w/ his questions re. History of roof repairs & past issues taking in whole picture of status of roof. As long time home owners of older homes we realize the value of maintenance for prevention & repairs as needed for long term stability of a home as well as lowering risk for problems later on . That said - there have been many occasions where a contractor cut corners or didn't relate essential info only to have problems down the road . Most appreciative Robert noted we had no drip edges on garage ( no wonder we had recent wood damage / rot after last roofers work) and suggested installment. He also problem solved how our painters could get up to 3 rd level dormer assuring their & the roof tile safety. Robert coordinated timing for painter wallboard & repairs right away & he & his 2 workers had all work completed exactly as scheduled . It was great having someone on site who loves & knows his work & goes above & beyond to do the job right. I will definitely utilize R&R for any future needs & highly recommend ! "What has impressed me most about RE-Construction is the women that work there. Every transaction and conversation that I experienced with the office was made pleasant with kindness and knowledgeable understanding of the roofing process. I heard about RE-Construction when a young salesperson came to my door. That was fortuitous since I knew that my house urgently needed a new roof. An appointment was set and verified over the phone with the office at RE-Construction for an estimate. Once we had the estimate RE-Construction was helpful with the process of filing an insurance claim to get the roof put on. The team of roofers were very efficient and used a gentle touch on my historically old house. They were led by a woman, which left me feeling great, because her influence of care and attention was palpable during the entire process. She led from the ground and fed the shingle packets up to the roofers using an electronic lift that was attached to a ladder. I liked the sound of it. It was amazing to watch the machine zip! It was very efficient. I felt safe and sound while the roof was put on and afterwards the team did a fine job of cleaning up. They left their trailer overnight, since they finished the roof at sunset, and returned for it in the morning to double check on the cleaning up and to gather all of their equipment. Every step of the way Re-Construction took care with my case and improved my home with a new roof. I have since, through the mail, received a warranty for the new roof, a thank you card, and a birthday card. What a great touch! I recommend Re-Construction as a solid and good place to get a roof put on with care."

"We researched many roofing products & several local roofing companies before deciding upon Cornett. Their HD powdered-coated metal shakes were our first choice for looks & also offered best quality of materials & warranty, even their "standard" 5V was a better quality than what others were selling. It took about 2 wks to schedule the quote apparently due to the amount of roof damage from recent local storms. Our project was started in a timely manner about 2 wks after signing the contract & took 3 days to complete all 3 buildings. The office & crew were very polite. The crew kept the jobsite tidy & worked long days. There were some hiccups along the way & we feel that inter-departmental communication could be improved upon. Most of the crew was ESL so perhaps there was a language barrier involved, too. In addition, there was an incident of what seemed like poor planning based on the weather forecast while finishing other parts of the roof rather than the part on the house that was still open requiring tarps overnight. All that being said, once our concerns were relayed to the proper person, the issues were addressed & resolved in a very timely manner. A couple of issues also popped up soon after the job was completed & we were pleasantly surprised that those were also promptly resolved. The only issue that we are still not quite sure of is if the crew was actually Cornett employees or subbed. We specifically asked if they were subs during the quote & we also asked the spokesman for the crew & were told they "work for Cornett". What is strange is that there was a miscommunication or misunderstanding about removing gutters for the roof installation & the crew asked if they were going to replace the gutters, too. However, at the time of the quote, we were told that there wasn't room to negotiate the gutter quote because that was subbed out. Based on that info, a reasonable conclusion is that if the same crew that installed the roof was also going to install gutters then they would appear to be subs. We suspect that the "crew leader" is an employee of Cornett so technically that is why we were told they do not use subs. As it turned out, even if they were subs, they did a good job, which was our concern about using subs in the first place, but we would have liked more transparency in the details. We absolutely love the look of our new roofs, esp the shakes, & have had several compliments on our "new house". Most importantly, we have had several rainstorms over the last month & there has been no sign of leaks & we can expect no shingle damage for the next 50 yrs. We highly recommend Cornett. <br> <br>"

"<p>Ground Zero did a top-notch job from start to finish! It is rare these days to be inspired to write a positive review, so let me dive in with the details:<br /> 1. Sales - I visited their showroom in South OKC. Alicia was very friendly and knowledgeable about the shelters. I'm an engineer by trade and had many geeky engineering questions; Alicia was able to answer every question I had about the construction and design. She walked me through how the entire process is handled, and even described OKC's building permit process.  Was so impressed that I made the purchase on-the-spot.  The price I indicated ($2300) was a sales price for the "smaller" shelter, so your price may vary.  <br /> 2. Permits/Pre-Install:  Ground Zero provided pre-filled forms for the building permit. If you live in OKC you can go online and apply, then fax the forms. They (the City) will call you back for your CC number and give you the permit number (which you provide back to Ground Zero.   Ground Zero people followed up with me four days before install to ensure that everything was on-track.<br /> 3.  Installation:  Here is where Ground Zero hit it out of the park. I have to admit I was nervous about the install, as I've had more than a few installations that were total nightmares. My installers - Raul (Installer) and Xavier (Helper) were on time, ready to start immediately, and were very polite and professional.  Since I had a Pre-Tensioned Slab we had to call Suncoast to cut /re-anchor the cables latticed underneath the slab, this caused Raul and Xavier some minor delay and re-marking, but both of them worked seamlessly with Suncoast with the modifications and everything quickly was back on track.  Raul quickly had the slab cut and dirt removed within 1.5 hours, he was able to finesse the mini-excavator like a pro, probably could use it to pick up toothpicks if he wanted. Xavier was constantly moving and took care of the 1000 other smaller tasks, Raul and Xavier worked together like clockwork and rarely needed to talk.   When they were done they cleaned EVERYTHING, not a spot of mud anywhere inside or on the driveway, Raul used the pressure washer for a good 30 minutes just on the driveway.  While Raul hauled the dirt away, Xavier finished the troweling on the cement backfill leaving it with a nice raised feathering that looks very professional.   NEVER in four hours on site did I see either gentleman take a break to loaf, they were constantly moving and working non-stop. <br /> I'm very pleased with the professionalism of the Ground Zero Team from Start to Finish, and pleased with the final product.   No, I'm not a "shill" nor do I work for Ground Zero. "First I called them out for the free inspection and then I called Angie's List because I couldn't find them on Angie's List and they have a partner apparently in Evansville and St. Louis so it looked like it was fly-by- night, like they were just following the storms around, so we were leery of them. But before I did the research we said okay with the free inspection. They came out and the first guy was, like, I don't see anything here, it's fine. A few days later, another representative from their company came and knocked on our door and said they were in the neighborhood doing inspections and asked if they could give us a free inspection and we already said we did and that there was no damage. He asked if he could look again and so he comes down and showed us the pictures that he found damage. He did take a picture of damage on our roof. We thought it was good he looked so we called our insurance suggester and had them come out and look at the roof and they said there was no damage. There is a little bit of damage because you can see sometimes like the downspout but it's just not enough to where it's worth the replacement of the roof or even repair, there may be a couple of little things on the whole roof. That cost us to have a claim against our insurance even though it was zero dollars and it didn't sound good. I think he just recorded what he found but he seemed to think that we are going to get a new roof. They did several other roofs in our neighborhood. It was kind of a neutral experience. I was kind of suspicious of them, they are kind of storm chasers but they did do a bunch of houses on our street and from what I can tell from the other homes, they seemed to have done an okay job. My only concern was that maybe it seemed like a month before they actually started any work. I wouldn't be happy with that but I didn't make an arrangement with them either but as far as I can tell, the only complaint one of my neighbors had is that they didn't like the color but after all, that was not their fault. I didn't hear any negative experiences with any of the neighbors. One of the neighbors actually indicated that this company had done his roof replacement 4 or 5 years ago when there was another hailstorm too. Apparently even if they are just storm chasers, they are at least doing good work. My experience with them was kind of confusing because the first guy said there was no damage and then the second guy said there was damage. I sort of think the second person is younger and has less experience and maybe more anxious and eager to try to get a job and so therefore it cost us additional time and effort to go through our insurance company and now has a claim against us. He did find something but he needed to be a little more experienced to just let go and say that it's not enough to do more of a replacement. After he met with our insurance person, he has never spoken to us again. I think the punctuality is good although I felt like they were slower in the neighbor's houses. My husband said they wanted to get the job and then they took their time after that with the neighbors."
