"Charles Stewart Roofing installed new roof in my house in Forest Hills, New York about 4 year ago in 2017 with 10-year all labor and material warranty. This month during the recent storm the roof was leaking very heavily in exact same area it leaked last time that led to the installation of the new roof. I contacted Charles Stewart Roofing and provided with video of leaking with water streaming from ceiling and pictures of damaged ceiling etc. Charles promptly responded via text message promising to repair the roof. "I originally contacted Hugh to do what I thought would be minor maintenance on the roof, but he found a few spots that were leaky, even though the damage wasn't yet apparent inside the house. He presented the options for fixing and had a good warranty. His crew was fast and professional and finished the work the next day. We've had a few big rainstorms since the new roof was installed, and so far, so good! No one likes finding out that they need a new roof when they think they're just due for maintenance, but Hugh made the experience as smooth and reasonable as could be hoped. I would hire again if I had other roofing needs."

"It took forever to find someone to install a door for me! Finding these guys was a blessing, and I couldn't have done it without Angie's List. Apparently, unless you purchase a door through the company that's installing it, no one will install it. These guys were up to the task. It was a brand new door, purchased through Home Depot. They came a little late, but stayed most of the day and did everything. They reinforced the door frame and attempted to install my old, crappy and broken storm door onto the nice, new door. I never requested that, so...there's a bit of a communications problem there. But...reinforcing the frame is a good idea for any future storm door. The screws they put in were noticeable, but they used the touch-up paint and it's barely noticeable now. I've rated them A on everything, but there's no 'communication' category. To be fair, they were dealing with a door I didn't order from them, and that they may not have been familiar with. It was a pre-framed door, but because it was being put into a brick frame, they had to customize it quite a bit. They came, measured the frame, made some cuts, then went out to Home Depot to purchase internal, white wooden molding trim. They recessed our security magnet, and all looked excellent. Because it was custom, we didn't discuss all of the details. They just did it, and hopefully I'd like the results. The look is great, but I'll have to rip off the molding to change the battery in the sensor now recessed in the new molding trim. They clearly know their stuff. I have a feeling they would be excellent at ANY construction project. I recommend that you speak with them and clarify ANY small details before they begin. If there's an area that wasn't discussed, they will make a best guess. It'll probably be ok, but... your expectation may or may not be met. I would recommend them highly. They're very inexpensive, creative, and careful about detail. They clean up afterwards, and make sure that everything is to your satisfaction. Not much more you can ask for!"

"Once the job started in August, his workers arrived early each morning and worked hard all day. They were also responsive and professional in addressing our questions and concerns. During the week-long job, Vinny came to the house each day to show us pictures of the work in progress and to address any questions that arose. Upon our request, the workers even installed shingles on a Christmas stable we have in our garden! When the work was completed, the workers cleaned up and disposed of the related debris. We are happy with the results. It has rained hard a few times since the new roof was installed and my mother reports she no longer smells wet wood when it rains!
