"I have had multiple problems with my lawn since I purchased my home in 2010 (dead spots, improper grading/drainage). Though I employed another service to grade and install Zoysia sod, problems continued and worsened after the ice storm. My brother recommended that I find a professional lawn service to give my lawn regular TLC - he is a staunch DIY man so I knew he felt this was worth the money! I reviewed Angie's List and selected Scott's which I have been using for several months. It's too early to see results from the treatments but I expect that the results will be amazing when spring comes.  <br /> I can speak to the service I have received from the staff as it has been flawless. I like that I receive an email and written copy of the personal treatment by the technician who treats my yard. It's not a lot of technical stuff, but a description that one would have in a conversation. Though I've never met him, it is reassuring to have a photo so that a homeowner could identify who is providing a service. I have had a couple of occasions to call the office, and each time the ladies were warm and helpful. It is a pleasure to work with people who are honest, dependable, knowledgeable and friendly. "<p>They came to my house because they were doing my neighbor's lawn. They were approaching me so I used them. They have the service for a year so they just drop the invoice off on the door.  I am not very happy with the lawn, but there could be other problems. Basically they signed me up and I don't think they were very proactive, they just do their service. They do just the regular spray for $45 every time. Aeration was $95 and was one time a year. They recommended the aeration at the beginning of the year. They treat 8 times a year. Their price was comparable to my other service provider but what they were selling me were all these benefits like the chemicals they use. It is about the same price of everyone I quoted. The lawn was not improving or anything better than the previous service provider. I did not talk with them that much. The last time I asked them some questions and they said they would send some people, but they didn't. I did not really have any appointments; they just came in whenever and left the bill on the door. I think they are professional, but I think their salespeople exaggerated some things about their service. </p>"

"When we kept seeing dozens and dozens of millepedes in our house we called Northwest Exterminating to let them know.  They sent the tech out to retreat the outside perimeter of the house.  It killed many many of them outside, but still nearly 100 a day would get into the house.  NW came out again and treated my lawn areas and flower beds...basically all of my property.  Within two days the problem was almost completely gone.  Only a few get into the house per week now.  We are grateful for Ryan and Brian's friendly and professional services.  Not only do they treat the problem they also educate you on why the bugs come in and why there are such great numbers of millipedes this year.  Thanks!"

"Office staff are always helpful and friendly. They come out and spray inside and out quarterly and come back out at no charge of we need them to in between. We always have the same technician. The one time we called for them to come out in between services because of finding a black widow in our patio area our technician wasn't available, so the office staff had the supervisor come out himself. He was here less than 30 minutes after we called and took care of everything. Great services and customer services so far! (I can't recall the pest control prices exactly, but it's billed quarterly and termite bond was $150/year.)"

"My neighbor needed his retaining wall replaced. I wanted to add on to his to go part way across my back yard. David suggested he go all the way across my back yard and move the retaining wall out about 6 feet from my level ground and remove some trees. These are the hardest working men I have ever seen. They worked from 7:15 am to 6 pm with 30 minutes for lunch. They were prompt, courteous, friendly. The run off between the houses was eroding my lot so they build a small dam across the area between the houses, put in a box with grate and an 8" pipe to run the water under the retaining wall and out toward a stream at the back of the property. They tied the existing buried pipes draining gutters into that 8" pipe They dug holes for new plants, scattered seed below the wall, and sodded the entire back yard and some of the front. I was very pleased and would use them again and highly recommend them."
