"I had tried to contact several tree/landscaping professionals because we had a very tall tree fall in our back yard. Thankfully, that one caused no damage, but I had concerns that others were diseased and vulnerable as well. I had a horrible time just having someone call me back. I was able to have two people actually honor a commitment and come to the house to survey the situation. They told me that it would take them several weeks before they could get to it. I found Anthony's name and company through Home Advisor and called him. He had had a cancellation, so he came to my house in about 30 minutes. He surveyed the situation and concurred with the advice of the others, by and large: in addition to the three that had already fallen, three others were dangerous and should be removed. He wrote an estimate right there on the spot. The others told me they would email me one, but never did, even after I called to remind them. His estimate was about what others had verbally told me, but he texted the next day to offer me a discount and told me that he would have it done within a week. I agreed to go with him and am so grateful. He charged less than anyone else, he removed the trees safely without damaging anything else, including our fence, he ground the stumps, had everything removed, and even trimmed some other trees away from the house (an added, last minute request) at no charge. When it was all done, he told me that he would come this fall to plant some seed and tend to some grass that had been killed by the equipment and dead trees as they were removed. Again, at no charge. This guy reminds me of small businessmen from my youth - hardworking, independent, and mostly, honest. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat."

"The owner responded immediately for an estimate in spite of his busy schedule. He got my project scheduled in two weeks. Harry, the owner was on site both days of my project. We went over exactly where I wanted the fence and the gates. Harry, his right hand man John, his crew Steve and Brandon started work right away. It was extremely hot and humid and they worked steady until quitting time. <br /> The first day they had all the holes dug for the posts, the posts set and the horizontal boards up. My backyard is pretty big and they were finished on the second day. The fence looks great. The walk through gate and drive through gate look great and work great. I have had many compliments on the fence and it was finished just yesterday. The crew was very polite, very professional and worked very hard. They cleaned up and were gone. Harry came back the next day to show me how to work the gates and we walked the fence line to check everything out. Looks awesome!!! Harry assured me that if I had any problems at all that he would take care of them. <br /> <br /> FYI the price was very reasonable and lower than other local fence installers. "The whole process started about a year ago when we had water in our basement after a heavy rain.  Not knowing who to call, we called Honey Creek Contracting.  They immediately sent someone out because they could hear the panic in my voice and they were on a job site close to us.  When they came out, they fully understood how we got the water in the first place and what needed to be done to correct the issue.  At that time, they gave us a "patch job" to get us through until we could have the entire roof replaced.  Prior to receiving this water in our basement, we had approximately four other roofing contractors out to diagnose the problem.  We heard everything from, "there is nothing wrong" to "it is your guttering."  After changing the guttering, and that did not help, we were back to square one, that is until HCC came out. <br /> <br /> Fast forward to today, HCC has been on the job now for four days.  Our anticipated completion date is August 25, 2011.  You might think that is extremely too much time to put on a roof, but let me tell you, these guys have encountered just about everything that can go wrong!  Jack & Tom will NOT cover up something that needs to be redone.  They take their time and do it right the first time.  They understand that the Manufacturer's warranty that I recieve completely depends on how they do the installation and they will not let you down.  When taking off the old roofing, they found that some genius had not used any nails or screws to install our soffit and facia boards.  So, when they removed the roofing and got to the drip edge, everything else came tumbling down and it was that way all around our house!  Instead of covering up the issue and moving on, HCC has rebuilt the soffit boxes, replaced the facia boards and will be installing new soffit vents!  They will absolutely NOT cover up someone else's work, if it is not done to HCC's rigorous standards.  They are pulling off our old siding to make sure the roof will drain properly and not get behind the siding and cause our water problem again. <br /> <br /> If you want someone to come in, do the work, and get out, Honey Creek Contracting and Jack Denny is probably not your best option.  They do not leave until the job is completed and completed correctly.  In talking it over with my wife (and Jack does not know this yet), when it comes time to redo our kitchen, he is our man!  There is not going to be any shopping around for contractors, it is going to be Honey Creek Contracting!  Jack and Tom Denny will always be welcome at our house!"
