"1. I was given incorrect information on the phone; I was told the team would show up ready to work. They didn't. They showed up to do nothing more than take pictures and notes and discuss the job so a P&E guy could work up the estimate. That's OK, except that's not what I was told on the phone.  And they were over 30 minutes late. <br /> 2.  No one ever called back. <br /> 3.  I finally called them, reminded them about the job and asked if someone was going to call, left my name and contact number (again).  I was told someone would contact me. No one ever called, again.  If you're that busy, great, at least call. <br /> Because I thought I was doing business with Scudder, I didn't call other roofers, so I ended up getting more water into my house from the leaks that I called them about. <br /> Terrible customer service and follow-through. <br /> <br /> Update: Please see my comments in the "What did the provider do?" section.  No company is perfect, and Mr. Scudder's response to my experience turned me around on using Scudder Roofing in the future."

"The service went well. They were able to clean the parts of the home I needed cleaned within the 4 hour time frame. Two people came out for the service and brought their own cleaning supplies. The vacuum they did use did not clean the rugs very well. They did have to come out quite a way to get to me so I would not hire them again because of how much the travel fee would be. They did fine work and I had no problem scheduling the service."

He not only answered his phone on a Sunday and gave me an estimate, but he arrived early, knew exactly what needed to be done, had all of his equipment with him on his awesomely set up van, and started working hard right away. Tony is knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and talented! He even threw in a complementary shampoo on my huge sofa and did an amazing job of Reverse Osmosis Power Wash cleaning of my outdoor staircase and patio that made them sparkle like brand new! "For half the price of another diamond rated contractor, he blocked the pigeons from our roof, cleaned our gutters and run offs and replaced a half dozen tiles. He came to give an estimate within an hour of my calling him, did the work when he said he would and at the estimated price."

"They gave a competitive bid, and lowered a portion of it which I found to be a little high. We have a non-typical roof in that part is too steep, and part too shallow. the shallow part required a plastic membrane which is more expensive. All the work was done by Knox employees in a prompt and professional manner. The roof looks better than we thought it would, and we love the skylight. Now we don't have full sunlight in the morning and we can exhaust hot air from our room. The original builder and roofer had vented them into the attic, which is, of course, why we had rotted plywood on the roof. We got several quotes, and had to research different things, (TPO vs Durolast, etc), and had to factor in different materials and warranties. After everything was said and done, Knox's bid was very competitive."

"The crew was extremely professional and did a great job! They kept the work area clean and were especially careful with stray nails since we have children. The roof looks great and does not leak. It made it through the first winter without any leaks (and we have multiple skylights). During the winter we had a wind storm. A large branch fell on our new roof and put a hole! Roof Time advised us how to keep water out until a workman could come and fix it the next day. The repair was $300 and well done. I highly recommend this company. They work hard working, professional, and not overpriced in comparison to other companies. <br />"

"He is excellent. I have had him out here at least three times. He is good and so I keep calling him back. He is smart. He would do just about anything. I did have another guy do the yard and it just didn't work and I think that he is doing real work. He charges me by the job and it depends on how long it is going to take. He is very reasonable and I have been quoted $5000 by another guy for what he is doing at the moment."
