"Julio and Son were great to work with. Painters however, seemed to need "exact" directions pretty often. I even bought them lunch one day when they came out on the weekend and one of the crew made a snippy remark about it not being fajitas. Their carpenter, Andres, was great. Not a builder myself but sometimes it seemed like work was done the quick and easy way. Had to be on top of them to fix small details to our specs. Make no mistake, we are happy with the results. Our home is 100 times more beautiful than before."

"Some of the furniture was antique and together with the other furniture it needed restoration and refinishing done. Victoria Refinishing Service did superior work. It was one of the 'once in a lifetime' things you did. It was a great deal. I would use them again in the future."

"Called around a little for someone to come in and do some updates and a few odds and ends that I needed to get done for some time. We called and found out that this very nice gentleman lived nearby and he was very pleasant to speak with on the phone. He came out the next day and gave me a very fair price for a good load of work. The owner did all the work himself. He brought in his cleaning crew to clean up and they did the whole house. It was amazing. Well worth every penny. They will be doing my full kitchen and bathroom remodel in the near future. <br />"

"Researching local builders/contractors to renovate my mother's home was quite a task. I was looking for a contractor that was honest, hardworking, organized, and dedicated to doing the best job possible. My mother recently passed away and this home renovation meant  a lot to me. I was concerned with what the renovation was going to cost and worried about the job being completed on time.  Mr. Carlos Garcia, owner of  Texas Best Builders, was mentioned to me.  I had met with other builders and they were unorganized, wanted to charge me an over abundant amount for this project, and most importantly did not see my vision for this house. I lived in my mother's home for so long and always knew it needed  TLC. It was important to me that not just anyone work on this project as it was near and dear to my heart. I was raised in this house and wanted someone to treat this home renovation as if it were their own. Hiring Mr. Garcia was definitely the best move.  From the beginning he met with me, gave me an idea of the cost, gave me ideas, and took the time to listen to what I wanted and the vision I had for this house. He was very good at communicating with me and clarified many of the questions I had, and there were many. What I learned right away was that he was very detail oriented, and that was truly what my mother's home needed. His crew of workers was always on time, always did great work, and shared the same hardworking thought process as Mr. Garcia. Mr. Garcia met with my husband and I on a weekly basis and was always around in case we changed our mind on anything. As it turned out this house needed a lot more TLC then my husband and I ever imagined. With time Mr. Garcia and his crew had to replace the old floors, add a new roof, bring in a new central air/and heating unit, new sheet rock was added, new carpet, new tile, new cabinets, new closets, new lighting, new plumbing, new doors, new tubs, new toilets, the list is truly ongoing. By the end of this project I had changed my mind many times and had ultimately turned an old home to a new updated beautiful home. I can honestly say that I could not have done this job, and it would not have turned out as wonderfully as it did, if it hadn't been for the crew at Texas Best Builders. These men treated my home as if it were their own. They looked at every detail and were motivated from the start. In summary if anyone is looking for a small job, a medium size job, a big job then you really should look into hiring Texas Best Builders. I give them a true A+, not only for putting up with me and all the changes I wanted, but for being true to their work ethic and always having the determination to do more. <br />"

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in San Benito, TX

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
