"I've contacted Ben multiple times for projects (wiring/setting up doorbell camera, fixing outlets, wiring/installing florescent lights in garage) at our home. He always responds quickly and is flexible with setting up appointments. Exceptionally neat and clean work! Very professional and a pleasure to talk to. Ben will continue to be my contact for anything electrical!"

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommended – Excellent Workmanship and Professionalism NCL Electric recently completed the full electrical installation for a new ADU we built, and I couldn’t be happier with their work. Their team was professional, reliable, and extremely knowledgeable throughout the entire process — from rough wiring to final fixtures and testing. They handled all aspects of the new electrical system, including panel installation, lighting layout, and code compliance, with great attention to detail. Communication was consistent, inspections passed without issue, and their coordination with other trades made the project run smoothly. As a general contractor, I really value subcontractors who are dependable and take pride in their work — and NCL Electric definitely fits that description. I look forward to working with them again on future projects"

Customers say: True professional

"John Buckley Electric is a professional, licensed and provides first rate service at a fair price. Johnâ s work is second to none. We had an original corroded electric box and original fuses for power to the house. John worked with the electric company to coordinate all the work. All the electric was replaced in one day. Highly Recommend."

"Steve and his crew of electricians did a fabulous job. They basically replaced the entire house’s electrical, all new switches and outlets in addition to all the new light fixtures in every room. They showed up on time, did what they said they would and addressed every issue encountered in the rehab. In addition, Steve was great helping me decide what to put where. An overall excellent experience. I would HIGHLY recommend Warner Electric for any electric job."

"Val did an excellent job. His crew arrived on time and the work was performed within the time frame proposed. As it was a multi-day job, they cleaned up at the end of the day and you couldn't even tell they were there. The power had to turned off for the service upgrade, but by the time we got home in the evening, everything was functioning properly. I would use Val and his team again."

"Ofer recently finished remodeling our house including kitchen, flooring, bathrooms, and garage. Simply put, amazing work from start to finish. He was easy to communicate with and walked us through every part of the project to ensure we fully understood each aspect of the work. The entire team was professional, punctual, and thorough with excellent attention to detail. We had a limited timeline and they made sure the work was completed quickly and as scheduled. Even the neighbors were impressed by their punctuality and discipline! We have a lovely home thanks to Ofer and his team. Thank you for an excellent job!"

"Over the years I have restored and upgraded five different homes on two continents (USA and Europe.) Odinson Electric are by far the best, most creative, and most professional electricians I have ever worked with. They found creative solutions to completely re-wire my 1920s-era house, completely replacing the old knob-and tube wiring and old circuit breaker box, without destroying the charm and ambience of the home. The conduits that are visible down in my garage are so well thought out and beautifully installed that it is almost a work of art. Emilio (the owner) and the company have been very responsive to last-minute changes and additions. Every new wire and cable in the house was labeled so that any follow-on work in the future will be easy. The electricians themselves were very professional in their demeanor and very trustworthy. The price was very reasonable and competitive. If I ever have another electrical project, I will not even bother to get other estimates. I will not hesitate to hire Odinson Electric again. I know this review probably sounds over the top, but you just do not find contractors of this quality very often, and I cannot say enough good about them."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in San Francisco, CA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
