"We had some kitchen cabinets repaired and repainted and a new back splash installed because of a water heater leak. Sam Coffey was very personable and managed the project with excellence. All of the sub contractors were excellent and best of all the project was done within two weeks. Amazing! I highly recommend S&B Renovations."

"AKP was excellent throughout this entire process. We had the entire house painted, inside and out, including all the cabinets. They did high quality work at a very competitive price. We were extremely happy!"

"Remodeling a kitchen can be a difficult and time consuming. Better Than New Kitchens made our kitchen remodel simple and efficient. The remodel exceeded our expectations. Dan from Better Than New Kitchens explained the process to reface our 40-year-old cabinets and offered many choices of materials, finishes, and trims. We added the laundry cabinets to the project after speaking with Dan about the cost and timing of the project. The team from Better Than New Kitchens completed both the kitchen and laundry room cabinet refacing project within the 3 days that Dan told us to expect. They were professional, skilled wood crafters, and they cleaned up their work area. We highly recommend Better Than New Kitchens to anyone considering kitchen cabinet refacing."

"Everybody looking for remodeling/repair services should at least meet with Regal Bath and Kitchens. We utilized Regal Bath and Kitchens for our remodeling project. Our project consisted of flooring throughout our home and a total kitchen remodel. After speaking with five other contractors, and only wanting to bang our heads against the wall afterward, we found Rich, Jim and the crew from Regal. My wife and I had high expectations for our project and to say that the team met those expectations is an understatement. Rich and Jim took the time to meet with us time and time again to triple check our choices for cabinets and overall flow of the design. The project completed smoothly, on time, and right inline with our quote. We will be using Regal Bath and Kitchens again in the future."

"Wow!  Talk about fantastic service from beginning to end!  We wanted to replaced the low quality "builder grade" windows in our home with high quality fibreglass windows.  Based on reviews on Angie's List, Open EnClose was one of the suppliers we contacted.   <br />   The Sales and consultation step, with Jared, was highly professional and no pressure.  Jared was very knowledgable about the products on the market and patiently answered all of our questions and provided comparative information.  He arranged for us to view products in the Open EnClose showroom, and to spend some time at the window manufacturer's showroom, with their product specialists (we went back there twice!).   <br />   After much deliberation, we settled on the windows we wanted (Pella brand - love them!), and the sliding glass patio door.  The patio door we chose is a supplier that Open Enclose deals with, but not often.  So, we did did visit that door manufacturer's showroom and were given specs and a quote for the door system (multislide) we wanted.  Here's the interesting part...the specs given by the "manufacturer" store were all wrong (the size quoted was too small) and their price was no better than the price quoted by OpenEnclose!  Jared made sure everything was right and we absolutely love our new patio multislide! <br />   Installation was a "breeze", even thought I was worried about the mess and damage that could happen with this big job.  The main installation crew, led by Louis, arrived on time, carefully covered any interior areas that might get dusty, were very mindful of the exterior of the house and simply a very nice group of guys to have in your home for 2 days.  Great care was taken during the installation and, once it was done, there were hardly any marks around the windows on the inside of our house - just a few dabs of touch-up paint and we were 100%. Once the installation was complete, Louis walked around the interior and exterior of our house with us, and we inspected each window and received operation, care & maintenance instructions.     <br />   Our home is stucco, so the day after the window installation was complete, the OpenEnclose stucco crew arrived...there was a lot of patching to be done!  I am incredibly fussy and I was skeptical that the big patching job around all of the windows could be done to a standard whereby one would not know that it had ever been patched. Boy, did they prove me wrong - beautiful work and the stucco crew are craftsmen and artisans in their own right. <br />    Open EnClose has a painter that they recommend, who we contracted to paint the stucco patchwork.  Another craftsmen, a true professional and a real gentleman.   <br />    Now that the job is complete, there is no indication, from the inside or outside of our home, that the new windows were not in our house from the beginning - that, I'd say, is excellent workmanship :) <br />    A very special "thanks" and shout-out has to go to Karen in the office.  She became my "go to" person and, over the course of this project, she quickly and clearly communicated with me via email, was always extremely pleasant & helpful on the phone, and never hestitated to find me the answers to my many questions.   <br />    I would abolutely recommend Open EnClose for any window or door purchase, installation or service.  We are COMPLETELY satisfied customers! <br />"

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in San Tan Valley, AZ

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
