"Patrick and his team are great. They tore out an old asphalt garage floor and poured a new cement floor. They also poured a large concrete slab for RV parking and walk way that wraps around the house. Their work is high quality, everything is sloped well and leveled to match the existing structures like AC unit and crawlspace entrance. After a week there was a small area that had issues and Patrick agreed to repair it. I will use them for future projects."

"We recently expanded a deck, added a patio cover, and are putting a hot tub underneath this second floor deck. There was a concrete patio below the existing deck and we wanted to match that, w/ reinforcement for a hot tub. We got a couple bids for the job. Danny was the estimator that came out for Forest and he seemed knowledgeable and was punctual and professional. It was not the cheapest bid, but the company is much more well established than a couple others we consulted so I put more trust in their work. Rigo is the guy we needed to work with on scheduling etc. for concrete work. This was a little rocky at first, but that had a lot to do with us needing to postpone the start till our deck was done, but then also work around a vacation we'd be taking, and make sure the concrete had enough time to cure before our hot tub is dropped. Despite a slight language barrier, we worked it out and even managed to get it done ahead of when we originally scheduled it. Punctuality is impressive with these guys. For 3 days they were waiting outside our house to start at 7:30am precisely. They had to remove a portion of fence and work around some foliage for access. They ended up encountering an unexpected drainage tube of some kind while digging and made sure to create an access point for us if it's ever needed in the future. The concrete looks great and matches our old patio so well, it's hard to tell they weren't poured together. Danny and I (and later Rigo) discussed treating the old concrete to help the matching. At the end of the work they did a great job of cleaning up the area and returning everything to normal. Rigo also helped us by showing us how to remove the fence portion for when our hot tub is delivered and left the top cap off because he said we'd really struggle to get it off if they put it back. I'm happy with the work, communication, and cleanup and trust if there are any problems I will be able to get them resolved. If we have further landscape needs in the future I will def be calling Forest for a bid."

"Quick and professional. Maama's crew was enjoyable to watch and work with. Two unforeseen problems with underground utilities (fiber and sprinklers) while removing a tree stump. After he repaired the sprinkler damage and tested, it failed a few days after completion. I don't believe there was more he could do. SO, consider stubbing in service conduits and examining old utilities before the pour."

"Varun was one of the few contractors to actually show up and provide us with a proposal. He arrived at the scheduled time, and was courteous and professional, and offered a competitive price. Spencer and the crew started about a week ahead of schedule and once the project had already started, my wife and I decided to make a couple of additions to the original bid. Varun and Spencer were very willing to offer answers and advice for the questions we had concerning the changes we wanted. Throughout the entire project, the work was performed professionally and competently, and the crew did a great job on our driveway, sidewalk, parking pad, and patio. They even added a channel drain in the new driveway to help with drainage, so no more puddles around the driveway! I decided to take one star off of the overall rating for inconsistent communication due to slow response times to phone calls, emails and text messages that created some minor confusion concerning the schedule and when they would be onsite. Regardless of the communication issues, I recommend Xcelent Concrete and would hire them again. The new concrete is a significant improvement to our home's curb appeal and functionality as the new concrete in front looks great, and the colored and stamped patio in back is beautiful!"

"Spencer and crew were great. They arrived on time and finished ahead of schedule. The new patio looks excellent. They cleaned up the job site. They even helped me make step since the new concrete patio is thicker than before, without charging extra. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends needing any concrete job done."

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Sandy, OR

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
