"Dan and his crew were extremely professional, courteous, and very helpful. They went above and beyond what we were expecting. Restoration Style did a complete custom remodel of our kitchen and 2 full bathrooms. Dan provided us with multiple options for the design of our new kitchen. They used our existing cabinets and some new ones to create an amazing layout. It created the French Country style we wanted and the results look amazing! They installed all new doors and drawer fronts. Then sprayed painted the doors and cabinets to match. Both full baths came out equally as well with all new ceramic tile, walk-in shower, and <br /> a large soaking bath-tub. They installed a floating vanity which we bought on line. It was quite the process and took just over 6 weeks. <br /> These guys were a joy to work with. Extremely professional and they did a really good job on cleaning up construction debris daily. <br /> We plan to tell all our friends about Restoration Style and how Dan Evon <br />"

"Kitchen renovation is not a casual decision. Finding the right company for the project is not an easy task. After 18+ months of research and interviewing four different contractors, I decided "ATeam Kitchen and Bath" of Crestview, FL was the one for the job. They provided me with 3D drawings showing elevations of the project. This was very helpful in my being able to visualize the final outcome. <br /> I could <strong> not be more pleased</strong> with the process... from the initial meeting to the final touch-up. Each person from the company was polite, professional and skilled in their own specialty.  <br /> Nothing about the renovation, even with the un-level floors, un-square corners, unusual 1940's wooden walls seemed to be a problem for this team. <br /> My desire, for my vintage beach house was to have a new, modern kitchen that didn't look like just a new modern kitchen-but a kitchen that was complimented/tied into the rest of the house with vintage trim and accents. <br /> This was cleverly and beautifully accomplished by ATEAM using thoughtful imagination, re-purposed wood from the house and new wood, when necessary, that was skillfully made to look like vintage wood....awesome! <br />"

"An old cabinet door was supplied for color matching which came out perfect in the new cabinets. Two of the employees were on time and install the cabinets perfectly even with minor improvements which had not been specified. Following the installation they cleaned up perfectly and left everything  operational. A visitor from southern Florida was impressed to the point he requested your address and intends to contact you. <br />"

"I had sears remodel my kitchen which included removing a wall to create a pass through / breakfast bar. New cabinets, refaced cabinets, new floor, new counter tops, back splash, lights, new sink and plumbing, island stove hood. From beginning to end the entire experience was great, they would listen to my concerns that would arise throughout the process and addressed them promptly. They went above and beyond when my stove hood was extremely difficult to mount do to its design, they had to do a lot of attic work that day. They were very professional. The physical work started on 9/10/13 and was complete by 10/19/13. It was a large job, and being done that quickly was great. I used Sears Home Improvement out of Pensacola."

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in Satsuma, AL

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
