"We recently expanded a deck, added a patio cover, and are putting a hot tub underneath this second floor deck. There was a concrete patio below the existing deck and we wanted to match that, w/ reinforcement for a hot tub. We got a couple bids for the job. Danny was the estimator that came out for Forest and he seemed knowledgeable and was punctual and professional. It was not the cheapest bid, but the company is much more well established than a couple others we consulted so I put more trust in their work. Rigo is the guy we needed to work with on scheduling etc. for concrete work. This was a little rocky at first, but that had a lot to do with us needing to postpone the start till our deck was done, but then also work around a vacation we'd be taking, and make sure the concrete had enough time to cure before our hot tub is dropped. Despite a slight language barrier, we worked it out and even managed to get it done ahead of when we originally scheduled it. Punctuality is impressive with these guys. For 3 days they were waiting outside our house to start at 7:30am precisely. They had to remove a portion of fence and work around some foliage for access. They ended up encountering an unexpected drainage tube of some kind while digging and made sure to create an access point for us if it's ever needed in the future. The concrete looks great and matches our old patio so well, it's hard to tell they weren't poured together. Danny and I (and later Rigo) discussed treating the old concrete to help the matching. At the end of the work they did a great job of cleaning up the area and returning everything to normal. Rigo also helped us by showing us how to remove the fence portion for when our hot tub is delivered and left the top cap off because he said we'd really struggle to get it off if they put it back. I'm happy with the work, communication, and cleanup and trust if there are any problems I will be able to get them resolved. If we have further landscape needs in the future I will def be calling Forest for a bid."

I could choose from and recommended one that would work well for my pets, and one that we both liked the look of for my space. He also built up a retaining wall to keep the bark chips out of the grass area and did an amazing job on that as well. Him and his team went above and beyond, working in rainy downpour and getting this done quickly and professionally for me. Very happy and highly recommend."

The quote beat his competitors by a long shot, and he was a very nice guy who had received great reviews on Angie's List before. The initial yard clean-up & barkdust went forward as scheduled. We were delighted with his crew's work and speed with which they got it all done. However, once we scheduled them for twice monthly upkeep thereafter, there were THREE occasions where they did not show up on the day or time scheduled to do the maintenance. Each time we had to call and Mariano had someone there to do the work the next day, yet it was a major inconvenience not having them show when they would say they would. Our family's schedule is too busy for this kind of unreliability. Therefore we will not be using their services again this summer and will be hiring another company, even if that means paying a bit more."

Also apply a systemic insecticide soil drench to control Aphid in all of our Birch trees. Brian Mowld was quick to respond to my request for a quotation. He was able to email his quote to me the same day that he came to the house to look at the job. We had to be a little flexible with the planned schedule due to unexpected snow here. However, on the scheduled day for the project Brian and his two man crew, Jake and Dan, arrived on time and went right to work. They were very polite and professional and did a wonderful job for us including a very thorough clean-up. My wife and I are very pleased with the look and shape of our trees. It is also reassuring that our trees are now better prepared to withstand the strong East wind we get in our area. We have used Portland Tree Care in the past with very good results and this time was no exception. "As I stated in my previous post they were professional and very nice. He did a great job on the shrubs. He was to come back and finish the rose bed. He called and told me he would not be able to make it at the appointed time. I said that was fine, then he text me and said he needed more time to make it back. Again I said that was fine and I have not heard back since. I was lucky that the neighbors helped me clean it up with their trimmer. I was very disappointed. I know he is starting out so I would just say to keep in touch with your clients and put the money you make into better equipment so it will not be so **** ** you physically and you can get jobs done quicker. I wish them the best but we will not hire them back."
