"So I called PDX electric to do some work on a electrical panel my uncle installed for us. Unfortunately my uncle is not an electrician so the City required me to get a professional electrical contractor. My city inspector told me there were very minor adjustments that needed to be done and permits pulled. The adjuster explained it would only be 4 hours worth of work max. When the owner Marty Palmer did the bid for us he came back with a total of roughly $2200.00. When I saw the cost I was extremely concerned due to having only pull permits and 4 hours worth of work. I then called and wanted a price break down. On the bid it was only one lump sum by the way. When I called the office lady Kiley was rude because I wanted a cost break down. She told me when I call I am always mad, which I was not mad but even if I was it’s unprofessional for her to even mention. Then a few days later they declined the work. Meanwhile this has been a 6 week process of them coming out looking and doing the estimate and now I’m in the same place I was before contacting them 6 weeks earlier. Very unprofessional and they will try and rip you off. I understand people need to make money but this was a rip off 100%. I will never again contact this company for anything unfortunately."

"INITIAL CONTACT The company was quick to respond to our inquiry and set up time for a consultation. What we thought was a consult to receive a bid became a high pressure sales pitch. And our down payment to secure the quote for the job was actually a binding contract for the FULL scope of the project with significant penalties for cancelling (read the contract fine print!). A cancellation window of three days to release liability for the FULL AMOUNT OF THE PROJECT was a big surprise as we read through all the paperwork the days following. We have learned a hard lesson not to sign anything after 9pm, we were both so tired and hungry at that late hour we did not thoroughly read through all the paperwork. Our mistake. We obviously ended up moving forward with the project and got more comfortable after reading through reviews of the quality of the work and the experience customers had once they got past the “sales” call. Most were very positive. We also found that no other company offered the length of warranty that System Pavers does and with the large and challenging area, sloped terrain with drainage challenges and more than 5K sq ft, we felt comfortable that this was the right company to do the work. CONCEPTUAL DESIGN AND RENDERING Overall, the software was helpful in deciding the layout and the borders of the pavers. But we still had a hard time selecting the type of stone with the generic 3D rendering. We had to trust our instincts with the pictures in the catalogues provided to decide what to order. Once we decided on the Mega Lafite and Mega Arbel stones from Belgard, Jeff worked very hard with the vendor to get the color we wanted (as the Victorian shade had been discontinued) at the price we needed to fit our budget. We certainly appreciated this extra effort with the vendor. QUALITY OF WORK We read many reviews relative to the installation and quality of work. There was one team, led by Moises Ponce, that had received nothing but positive reviews. We were grateful that Jeff and the management team at System Pavers reworked the summer schedule so that Moises and his crew were able to take on our project. His team did outstanding work, they were always professional, and cleaned up after themselves. The installation of the pavers and the edging was seamless and the final product has more than met our expectations, it is really beautiful. We get many compliments on our new driveway and front yard and know that we enhanced the value of our home substantially. The team had to address some drainage challenges in front of our house and shop and the choice of permeable pavers so far seems to be functioning well through the first set of rainfall and falling leaves. The only challenges we had with the installation process involved two areas. The first had to do with communication between the Designer, the Project Manager and the Installation crew doing the work. There were times they were not on the same page and luckily one of us was home when most of the work was completed and could monitor the install. The second had to do with the landscaping/grass once the stones were completed. We had to move a portion of our in-ground sprinkler system prior to the new sod being installed. The day the ground was prepped for the sod, several of the sprinkler heads were completely buried and one was even on its side, covered with mulch. Had we not been on site and pointed this out, there could have been significant rework to correct after the sod had been installed. OVERALL We are very satisfied with the work and the end result. The cost for the work may be more than the value added to our home but there were other factors/benefits we considered in the choice of stone we selected and the overall design that increased the price beyond our original budget. It has transformed our front entrance and our front yard into our own private retreat and we no longer have to deal with the dust tracked into our home from our previous gravel driveway."

"The Smart Home features they installed, such as thermostat and door locks, etc. do not always work. For example, the Honeywell thermostat can no longer be operated from our phones and is difficult to install. Remote door locks are also unpredictable."

They were great — showed up promptly, got right to work and tackled the job thoroughly and with superb communication and consistent COVID precautions. The two main guys we worked with were Jeremy Petty on the front end and then Stuart Babicky — both get high marks for their care and professionalism. We’ll definitely consider Synergy for future remodel work, and we highly recommend them."

"I am going through enough, that I shouldn't have to babysit a company after telling them 3 times what I want. I asked to have all the weeds removed from the front of the fence (I even have an email proving I at least asked once, but I asked 3 times) and as you can see in the picture this is the quality of work they left me. When I initially asked to have all the debris removed they only wrote down the branches, so I had to email them and say I would like ALL the debris removed, they said it may cost more, I said that was fine (even though it just feels like $3,340 should have been enough). Then when they showed up to do the work I repeated myself again. Well I guess they didn't want to do it as you can see, let's see if the communication is working internally and they don't charge me for all debris in the final bill. Also I asked several times to cut the giant bush so it is level and NOT at at a slope. Well they decided to do what they wanted instead, they cut it at a slope and didn't even touch the sides. Also the small bush I asked them to cut the sides (box it out), well they only cut the top. I even pointed to how tall I wanted it, well they ignored that also. So check the pictures and you can see if you would hire them. Total work done: 1: Remove berry vines from fenced in area (this was ok) 2: Cut side bush, box it out (they only cut the top and not the height I wanted) 3: Level out large bush (Not level, also they cut one end too short, I literally pointed to how tall I wanted it twice) 4: Remove ALL debris from front of fence (They only removed some branches left everything else as per picture) 5: Do a quick weeding around border of house (This seems ok) Total cost: $3,340 (This was estimated invoice, they may charge more I don't know, they said they will send the full bill soon) Will update with final cost. "They need to improve their intake process. I live at a condo community and needed a light post light bulb changed out; provided photo, address and map with details. The technician arrived without supplies, didn't call to inform he was onsite and brought the wrong size ladder. Had another issue with a landscape light. Sent two emails with no response even though it's under warranty. Waited over a month for a response for another issue. I was told that it's normal to wait 1-2 weeks as they also deal with urgent matters. Overall, too difficult to work with and invoices are not detailed with light bulb information or product information. They provide free quotes over email. When I complained about the technician, they were unapologetic. Basically said pay the invoice and move on."
