"I should have never hired this person. He ?installed? my brand new solid wood mahogany door and when he left it would not even lock. He installed the door sweep at the top of the door to hide the fact that it was not a tight seal and was crooked. He didn?t cut out the plate for the door knob and it hits the trim and now there is a gouge of trim missing. I had a neighbor come look at it and he said it is not salvageable. I can?t believe my husband paid him, he should have asked him for $1k to buy a new door. Now I am sitting here waiting for the neighbor to come help me put the old door back on. I don?t know if there is any recourse with his insurance or what I can do."
