"I was extremely impressed both with the company's professionalism and timely communication.  Jerry Lanier was very courteous in his dealings with me.  We ended up using a different provider due to a pre-existing relationship with that provider.  However, Lanier Roofing is clearly a top-notch company, and I would highly recommend them for consideration for your future roofing needs. <br />"

"Once the contract was agreed upon, the work started the very next day. That blew my mind, that they were that available to start. The job took 3 days, 2 for the roof and one for the vinyl work. The roof was beautiful, the cleanup was great and the I am very satisfied with my roof. The vinyl work had a hitch of communication between the subcontractor. that was remedied quickly and the work was completed. This is the second time I have used Roof Roof, and I will recommend them to all my friends and neighbors."

"They are probably the largest roofing company in Anderson. They have been very good. They have high standard. The only question about that company now is that about six or eight months ago, the young owner of that company died suddenly of heart attack. The company is still operational, but I do not know exactly how it is being managed or run. I do not know if his family members or I do not know exactly who is running it. I still highly recommend the company based on their history or their past performance. What is in store for the company in the future, I do not know. I had great experiences with them in the past. If I am going to have roofing problems, I am still going to continue using them until I see deterioration in their service or whatever. I had to spend a thousand dollars for material and labor. They did a jammed-up job. They fixed it and the rates were very reasonable. They really knew what they were doing. That is what I like about a good company. If you have an issue like that like a roofing leak, they fixed it right the first time. Lenore initially was working with a company out of Charlotte and they sent two roofers out there twice and every time they came out to fix the leak, the roof leaked worse than it did before they came out. I am a firm believer in getting somebody that knows what they are doing and fixing it right the first time even if I have to pay more. I do not care if a contractor charges me more. I prefer getting a contractor that knows what they are doing and they are an expert in their field. I would use them again in the future if everything continues as it has in the past."

"The roofing job was completed on time and for the amount that was agreed upon. The contractor and his men did excellent work on the roof and on the following clean up. I would not hesitate to recommend this professionally run and organized company to any of my friends or family; they were that good."

"Our house was a victim of the great hailstorm of 2017. We filed a claim and called Trademark Contractors. Sam Aldridge came out and handled everything. It was very obvious they are a company that operates with the highest levels of integrity and that is what means the most to me. (One of his first questions was "are you prepared to pay the deductible" whereas others were like [looking around shiftily]"we can just put a sign in your hard ... wink wink"]). Sam was always on time for appointments and always responded within a couple of hours to calls or texts. He is extremely knowledgeable of the process and kept us well-informed at all stages. Crews were excellent. We have a large house (4600+ sqft) but the roof was done in a day and a half. Our original insurance estimate missed a number of vital things and Sam handled "proving" to the insurance company what we needed. (For example, the gutters were quoted using standard guttering but we have Leafgard gutters. The original quote proposed re-using the glass on the skylights...crazy right? and he handled getting a letter explaining that the seals required full replacement.) Because of the storm, Trademark (and a lot of other vendors) were incredibly busy (our neighborhood was a "showroom for roofing companies") but we were taken care of very well. We would definitely use again. Seth"

"We had an amazing experience with DG Builders, David and his crew. We have had mediocre/bad experiences in the past with contractors so we were looking for someone new and DG was recommended by someone we trust. From the initial meeting with David I could feel a difference from past experiences. We had our deck demolished and replaced with a new Trex deck and screened-in porch. David was great and offering suggestions, as well as listening to our concerns and budget needs. Throughout the process as concerns or issues came up we talked through them with David and his crew. We are very pleased with the finished product and planning to use DG for our next project. We have also had a few neighbors ask for DG Builder's # for their own projects. Highly recommend David and his crew."

"We live in a historic district of Greenville. It took Deckmasters some time to figure out what was allowed (not standard decking). This did add some cost. We used top of the line composite material they recommended. Result is fantastic. Crew was very professional, responsive and tidy."

"These guys are great. I explained the repairs I needed done after another guy bailed on me many times. Talon drove an hour to get it done before the storm came so it would be done before closing. They don’t care how small the job is it’s still worth their time."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Seneca, SC

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
