"Mike and his men did an amazing job on a very difficult outdoor project that NO ONE was brave enough to take on and they did an outstanding job! After buying an old home, we were left with an old inground hot tub that had been filled with dirt and still attached to the pool. The hot tub edge protruded above the ground and we needed it to be leveled, pavers installed and new coping placed around the pool in order to make it look like the hot tub was never there. What we thought was going to be pretty easy was not easy at all, in fact, no one would take this on, we talked with 3 other companies who either didn't call back or were priced so high, they knew we wouldn't accept. Then came Mike...a very professional, confident man who not only knew how to fix it, he came up with even more ways to make it look like the hot tub was never there. We had an estimate within a day or so and it was a very fair price for the amount of work and materials needed. The day prior to them showing up, we met with Mike and the Foreman who discussed in detail what needed to be done. We even added installing a 20' drain pipe (5" wide) under ground and under the pavers to help the water flow properly off the pool area and away from the house. What we thought would be a virtually impossible task, was just another day on the job for these fine men. They literally showed up on a Saturday at 7:45, ready to work by 8am. They worked nicely as a team and they never stopped...these guys were amazing...they had to carry up massive pieces of concrete by hand up a 100' sloped and terraced yard. It was impressive to watch how in literally 1 day the entire drainage problem and hot tub eye sore virtually disappeared in front of our very eyes. I don't always get time to write reviews, but I had to write this one because this was a very professional company who were forthright in all communications (good news and bad) and they did an incredible job at a very fair price. We will definitely use them for other projects...Mike says working with clients is almost like a marriage...both sides have to agree, compromise and be happy during the process...he is right and that was exactly what we got. "We found Aitken’s onDemand when driving down 98 looking for a home to purchase in April of last year. Specifically the palm trees caught our eye. We initially had them put in five palm trees in our front yard. Our initial consultation was with Mitch who was extremely professional which impressed me. We initiated a pool build in November and decided to get a few quotes for backyard landscaping and lighting, irrigation, sod and fence repair. Out of the three quotes Aitken was not the most expensive and it was not the least expensive. We decided to contract Aitken to complete the project for us based on their previous work in our front yard and their professionalism. I can say that I am 110% satisfied with the end result, had the opportunity to meet all of their crew as well as Steven, the owner. Absolutely five stars and highly recommend!"

"Green Matters is either too busy or understaffed. It took MONTHS for the work to be done. Further, while eventually the work was mostly completed, to include replacement of SOME of the plants that did not survive, there is still remaining “warranty” work that I have simply given up on being done. That said, I really like the owner personally, and as poor as this recent experience has been, I also used Green Matters in prior years with superb results. So, I am very disappointed, but there is more work I would like to have done, and would give Green Matters another chance IF very firm, inforceable commitments were made. And for that to be acceptable, I would require the work to be done with only a very small upfront payment."

"We have been dealing with contractors and painters for several years with much disappointment and dissatisfaction. Pitts Brothers was recommended by a neighbor when we were searching for an exterior painter for an outdated beach house we purchased out of state. Wow! We scheduled the estimate and they showed up when they said they would. Completed the estimate VERY timely. Gave an itemized breakdown of the costs (there were a few interior items like painting a 3 story foyer and replacing an outdated light in that foyer ), available start date and estimated completion date. Since it was purchased as a rental property, there were some work arounds from our end with renters and Joey was extremely accommodating. He scheduled exterior work when people were there and saved interior/going through the house for when it wasnâ t rented. We completed the walk through with him and HE pointed out things that he needed to touch up. It looked PERFECT to us! The site was left clean- cleaner than he found it! No empty drink cans/bottles, no cigarette butts, Not even spilled paint/splatter on the ground from the clean up- We aren’t used to that. He went out of his way to replace some loose boards on the front porch and step. He replaced a molding/ trim piece around an exterior door that they don’t even sell anymore so he had to buy wood pieces and create the piece. It looked original! He sent pictures almost daily (since we were out of town) of the progress, any questions/to clarify. Any expense outside of the original estimate was because we asked for something additional during the process. He was happy to clarify the request, give us an estimate on that, and add it to the list. When inclement weather interfered with planned exterior paint work, he rearranged and worked on some of the interior requests. Pitts Brothers showed up on time each day and worked a full day (8-3 or 4) with a short lunch break. I have never dealt with such professional contractors IN MY LIFE! I havenâ t dealt with many people as professional as Pitts Brothers in any line of work to be honest. So much so that if/when we need paint work done in our home state, I’ll call and see if they are willing to make a road trip :-)"
