Green Lawn Fertilizing is the largest locally owned lawn care company in the Philadelphia Tri-State region. We have been listed in the Philadelphia 100 five times years and INC 5000 9 of the last 10 years based on our rapid growth as a family owned business. We owe our tremendous growth as a business to building honest, trustworthy relationships with our customers and employees. Every aspect of our business is focused on our commitment to providing superior customer service and we take great pride in being A rated on Angie’s list as a result. From day one, when our owner, Matt Jesson, founded Green Lawn Fertilizing, our mission was to become a leading independent green industry company by providing a superior customer experience. 20 years later we feel confident that we have achieved that goal as we have overall exemplary online reviews including over 400 A ratings on Angie’s List! We were recognized among all small or medium sized businesses in the region by the Greater Phialdelphia Chamber of Commerce as their "Customer Service Excellence" award winner. We have also been listed as Lawn and Landscape Magazine’s #9 Lawn Care Company in the country. We are also active members of: NALP, NPMA, LCAP, PPMA and Project Evergreen's Green Care for Troops.
"I was extremely dissatisfied with this service. Always a different service provider, not always familiar with were to apply product. Weeds prevailed. And I am being charged for two applications this season even tho I had called to cancel. They claim they have no record of my cancellation. Automatic renewal. No one let me know someone was coming nor was a green lawn sign left to indicate someone had been there. Why would I use green lawn when I am already using trugreen, which is a far superior company and much easier to deal with. I feel that green lawn is a rip off."

We are a family owned Bucks County full service tree company, we love to tackle anything from the simplest to toughest tree projects. We strive to do the absolute best and safest work for our community.
"Excellently! The crew was careful and did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. Also, the stump was challenging to remove because of a circular cement enclosure, but they persisted and figured it out."

Palm tree stump removal costs $175 to $550, with pricing dependent on stump diameter and root complexity. Larger stumps with extensive root systems command higher fees. Grinding, which shreds the stump below ground level, is more economical than complete extraction. Your future landscaping intentions should guide your decision between these approaches. Discuss both methods with your tree service provider to determine which best suits your needs and budget.
Permit regulations for palm tree removal vary considerably between municipalities. Local governments charge $40 to $200 for removal authorization, with fees varying based on tree characteristics and local ordinances. Protected species may require additional documentation or expert assessment. Contact your local planning department or building authority before scheduling removal to understand specific requirements and avoid potential penalties for unauthorized tree removal.
Healthy, desirable palm varieties occasionally have resale value, though finding buyers willing to handle transplantation can prove challenging. Depending on tree size and complexity, transplanting services cost between $400 and $5,000. While selling might offset some expenses, realistic expectations are important as the transplant market fluctuates significantly. Contact local landscapers or nurseries to gauge interest before committing to this approach.
Palm tree removal duration varies based on tree dimensions and site conditions. Smaller palms under 30 feet require just a few hours, while larger specimens may need a full day or more. Factors like proximity to structures, access limitations, and weather conditions can extend timeframes. Professional crews work systematically to ensure safety throughout the process, so flexibility in scheduling helps accommodate any unexpected challenges.
Palm trees growing near utility lines present serious safety concerns. Contact your local municipality to determine if assistance programs exist for trees threatening public infrastructure. Professional tree services with utility line experience should handle these removals, as they understand proper safety protocols and coordination requirements. Never attempt to trim or remove trees near power lines yourself, as this presents extreme danger of electrical injury.
Standard homeowners' policies often exclude routine palm tree removal costs. However, if a storm or covered incident damages your palm tree, causing it to fall or threaten structures, insurance may contribute toward removal expenses. Coverage generally applies when the tree damages insured property or blocks essential access. Review your specific policy details and thoroughly document the tree's condition if filing a claim. For elective removal of healthy trees, budget for out-of-pocket expenses.
