"My family had a good experience with Gil from Sharp Remodeling. He was recommended by a close family friend, Ofelia Galvez, and after much consideration, we went with him. Our insurance wasn't covering any roof repairs, but because of the recent rains and continuous water damage inside the house, it was a matter of urgency. Gil's crew was polite and friendly, clean and efficient. Amazingly, they finished all the work in about a week. This included replacing rotten wood and broken tiles, and completely upgrading the underlayment with Boral TileSeal, which is guaranteed for 30 years. Our roof passed city inspection, and Sharp Remodeling guided us through that process, as well as getting the initial permit from the city. All in all, I find that Gil made it quick and painless for us. During a time when it seemed that everyone was extremely busy due to the unexpected rains, Gil made sure that our needs were met. His price was even better than what our neighbor paid for their re-roofing project. So far, it's rained a couple more times, but the leaking seems to have stopped. For that, we thank Gil and his team."

"I was looking into replacing my 20+ yrs tile roof to the Tesla solar roof but after months of waiting (I pre-ordered the solar roof and it was stuck at the design phase), Tesla told me that they no longer serve my area and refunded me the money. As I was looking for an alternative, I came across GAF's solar shingles and I was very interested in them. Guardian Roofs is GAF's certified installer in SoCal area. Larry from Guardian Roofs reached out to me within a day after I filled out the "Request for a Quote" form on GAF's website. Told me about their company and we chatted about my needs for the new roof and solar system. Within the next few days, he sent me a proposal, explained every single detail to me carefully and patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. He truly enjoy working with Larry because he would find out the answers for any questions he wasn't able to answer on the call and actually called me back and explained them to me thoroughly. I called/emailed six roofing companies/contractors, only four responded within the first week with a quote. The quote from Guardian Roofs was the second lowest (cheaper than Tesla's solar roof). The other three quotes were traditional solar panels and reroof using the existing tiles. I quickly decided to go Guardian Roof's quote not only it's much cheaper than Tesla's solar roof, but their panels also looked much nicer than the traditional ones. My only concern was that without the space between the rack and roof, how would the heat generated by the panels being released? I asked Larry this question and he explained to me but I didn't quite understand, so I asked the owner, Justin, the same question during the installation and he explained to me by showing me the actual products. Turned out the combination of the underlaying sheet, GAF's Timberline Shingles and the actual panels were playing a big part in handling the heat. The installation took a week to complete. I'm very pleased that the owner himself actually came out a couple of days and climbed on the roof to make sure everything was done correctly. He was also there to answer all of my questions about the job. Additionally, GAF sent a technician from the San Jose headquarter to oversee the installation of the panels. Not the mention William (the lead installer from Guardian Roofs) and his crew did a great job cleaning up the area after the job was completed."

"Aston was the best contractor I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He was incredibly responsive, always getting back to me within a day and often within an hour. Three other highly rated stucco specialists on Angie's list didn't even return my calls! <br /> Aston was able to give us a quote from a picture as soon as the plumber finished their work, and I felt like it was a very reasonable price for the work, so we scheduled a time that same week. <br /> When he came on-site, he spent an hour or so doing demo to prepare the wall. A mere few hours later he had everything patched up except for the final layer that he wanted to put on after the wall had time to dry (since it was not in direct sunlight). He also offered to resurface an adjacent area that we had shabbily patched ourselves a few years ago after removing a shelf. A few days later he came back to finish the job and besides the fact that the wall is not yet painted you'd never know it had been repaired! I noticed after he left that he even patched up a few corners that weren't anywhere near the main area to make sure that the whole wall looked its best. <br /> My only regret is that I cannot give Aston a rating higher than an A and that he can't do all kinds of contracting work! <br />"
