"Summit Tree Service is a first class organization. From initial communication to proposal to plan coordination, they set realistic expectations. The actual work of removing 2 aspen trees was a show of skill, great equipment, and teamwork where everyone knew their job. We haven't had to use a tree removal service before, but will probably need to again someday. I won't need to call around, though, I'll just call SMS!"

Small jobs welcome

"John is an incredibly knowledgeable arborist who clearly understands trees and the issues they face here in Colorado. We had two pines that he ended up removing and replacing with Junipers. He gave us options to treat or replace. John took the time to walk through both options plus provided several tree replacement options to chose from. Highly recommend his expertise and honest approach."

"Hunter and the crew were professional, prompt and knowledgeable. We found their services affordable as well. After the crazy cyclone storm last week we had an enormous pine tree fall and rest on our house. Hunter responded quickly and had his team out here to take care of it within two days. So appreciative! Highly recommend."

"Ron and his team did a fabulous job for us. We are very thrilled with the job, the expertise, the cleanliness and the professionalism with which this task was handled. Ron personally supervised and executed the task and took the time to explain things in detail both before starting as well as on completion of the job. We will definitely use them again and recommend them highly to anyone who needs tree trimming and pruning services."

"Luke did an EXCELLENT job! His estimate was fair and didn't change mid-job. He was at my home every day at the time he said he would be and worked through the day and kept us abreast of his progress and what he would be doing the next day. Every day when he left, he cleaned up anything he used and left no mess (really we left a bigger mess). He removed the shelving systems in the closets and replaced them when he was done, moved all the heavy appliances and furniture and really, once he left, we were left with a beautiful home and no signs he was ever there. He is professional, polite and a very talented young man. We already have plans to hire him for additional projects. Choosing this young man would not be a mistake. We are amazed at the work he did and this was definitely money well spent. Thank you for your work Luke!"

"The project went well!  It took longer than expected but this wasn't a big issue for us.  Andrew and Jake were very friendly and did a great job hanging and finishing our drywall in a basement of under 1000 sq ft.  They worked within our budget and were upfront about additional costs when they arose.  We would recommend them and/or do work with them again."

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Silver-plume, CO

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
