"We had a couple other companies tell us our EV Charger install job was too difficult but Allin really came through for us. He was great to work with, walked us through the how and why of the entire and project and was always prompt with his communication along the way. Price was more than fair as well. I will definitely be reaching out to Allin and Amp Electric for and and all electrician needs in the future!"

"Igor was fantastic! I needed a new 240V line for a future oven and a tap for a garbage disposal. He came in to my home and really took his time with my questions and with the explanations of what he wanted to do. He got the work done in a day and was very nice, clean, and efficient. Highly recommended for electrical projects."

"Ken is very responsive and his staff is very diligent. We have a older home so it has its challenges. Mr Electric is very reasonable and intelligent when they estimated the time it would take for the job. It still took longer given the unknowns in this house and they still got the job done at no additional expense. I have already hired them a second time for a different problem. They are my electrician from now on."

"I'm glad we hired A and Z. Barry Goldstein gave us a call and come to our residence to look at the work needed. Barry is a great and sincere person and we enjoy the small talk but got to business. We were in need of GFCI electric switches in the kitchen, bathroom, and other areas. Plus, we need new electrical outlets in our closets in both bedrooms and have the pulley taken out, and ad a fixture on the outside of the closet. We also had a hazard with the powerline where the clamps that are attached to the outside wall of the house were hanging out. Plus the kitchen exhaust fan and the ceiling fan needed to be installed and they did. The crew explained what is expected in the process and the price. They placed it back to her tight in order for us to get COMED to fix the wiring. They came and fixed the job and did it cleanly and professionally. The crew was great to talk to and we felt they value customer service no matter what the job. We like their overall work and are responsive. I recommend A to Z for anyone looking for small to big jobs. Great job they did."

"Fantastic work! Homer, with his crew, Eric, Damien, and Norris, did an outstanding job with my electrical work. I had 16 light fixtures replaced, one new ceiling flush mount added, an electrical outlet added, dimmer switches added, and refreshed/added kitchen recessed lights. The care with which they worked was incredible. They were not only skilled but also attentive to detail and left your place clean afterward. Homer and his team must take pride in their workmanship. If you ever need electrical work done in the future, you know exactly who to call!"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Skokie, IL

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
