"I had 2 contractors come out to give me estimates on metal window awnings. One of the owners of V & V came and told me I’d get an estimate by email the next morning, along with a list of homes in my neighborhood they’d done work on, a brochure, and samples of awnings to choose from. I got nothing. Two phone calls later from me, more promises, and over a week passed. While waiting, the other contractor from a competing company came, gave me an estimate, samples, and choices on the spot - I hired that company. V & V’s estimate when it finally came was one sentence, I hadn’t even chosen the product yet because of no choices given, and it was ridiculously lower than the company I chose, which was very professionally done and detailed. Maybe my job was too small for you - I don’t know - but you surely did not want my business. You could see that I will be needing a full roof replacement in the near future (a much bigger job), but we definitely won’t be calling you for an estimate that we then have to beg to receive. When people ask me for recommendations, I’ll be pointing them in the direction of your competitor. Promises made - promises not kept."
