Small jobs welcome

"Rob is a skilled stone and paver artist. He rebuilt our stone lakeshore with care, and created new retaining walls and paver walkway for our lakefront home. Robâ s work is beautiful, and he works quickly. I will definitely hire Rob again."

"Zack contacted me within minutes of submitting my request. I hired him to snowplow my large, circular driveway (250+ feet from road to garage). We just had our first significant snow. He showed up early the next morning, and did such an excellent job! Far exceeded my expectations. Would recommend him without hesitation. Also, really nice guy!"

"They were able to remove limb and save the tree. Clear dead branches and a others that were close to roof. Worked very hard, hardly knew they were there. Cleaned up. The cost was reasonable, however well worth the care and treatment of the tree and our property. I would hire again without hesitation and already referred them to my new neighbor."

"<p>Aim High Construction is Honesty, Integrity, Superb Quality, Customer Focused Workmanship, and Fair Pricing.  When we first contacted Aim High Construction through Angie’s List in mid 2015 it was to have our roof inspected . . . Eric (co-owner of Aim High) came out at the agreed time and did a thorough inspection of the roof which didn’t need any work or repairs.  Further discussions with Eric led us to hire Aim High to replace our front concrete stoop, which was sinking in the front, and build a deck/screened porch in the back.  Both projects were major undertakings to us and we wanted both projects to be basically maintenance free structures . . . also, we wanted some extra support structure in the back since this was a second level structure and we didn’t want to just meet minimum standards.  Through the whole project Eric worked with us to meet every one of our concerns, including something so minor as changing the screws on the lower part of the aluminum railing which I felt were too short to provide adequate support. Basically Eric and a superb craftsman named Keith did almost all of the work on our two projects and we couldn’t of found anybody better no matter how long we would of looked.  On the final inspection the city inspector’s only written comment was “NICE JOB !”.</p> <p>With their quality of work and their concern for working with the customer to meet the customers every expectation, I don’t know why I would ever call a different contractor in the future . . . and we would (and have) highly recommended Aim High Construction to family, friends, and anybody who asks about hiring a construction company.</p> <p>Thanks Eric and Keith for the superb job !!</p> <p><br></p>"

"The experienced crew arrived on schedule and worked until it was done (several days). They encountered some issues (for example, very sandy hillside) and took the extra time and effort to ensure safety.  They modified their design (lengthened the wall) to better fit the site for a modest price increase (to cover the cost of additional materials).  They helped me move some excess dirt to a neighbor's yard and remove additional railroad ties from my property with their equipment, no extra charge, no complaint.  The workers knew what they were doing and worked efficiently.  At the same time, they interfaced well and were responsive to my interests. I couldn't be happier with the result.  <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Somerset, WI

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
