The whole process was very smooth and I haven't had any problems with the system.  I'm very glad I chose them. <br /> They have a project status page that provided clear information at every stage.  When I emailed or called, they responded within 24 hours.  I contacted them based on customer reviews and their warranty policy.  The salesman was low key and honest.  He made it clear that there was a waiting list for installation so I knew it would take a few months.  In the end, it was faster than I expected.  They provided clear written plans and handled the city inspection completely.  The connection to PG&E quickly followed. <br /> I highly recommend them.  I have two important notes: <br /> - Be sure to get a clear picture of the schedule.  It's complicated and they may have a waiting list. <br /> - The initial quote on the phone was for a much bigger system than they were able to install.  They can only tell so much from a satellite image of the roof.  Their on-site inspection showed that my roof was more complicated and not ideal for solar.  The quote was adjusted down for a smaller system.  I understood that they were oversizing the system, so I wan't surprised.  Your roof may be simpler, but beware that this can happen. <br />"

"Rick put two men on the job and they did it in an hour, including clean-up and removal of all the debris from the gutters. They removed and replaced all the gutter guards as they went so they could access the debris that had accumulated in the gutters over the last 5 years. As roofers, they were very much at home up on the roof, moving quickly and confidently. (And Award of course carries WC insurance on its people) I estimate it would have taken me an entire day, working from and moving a ladder, to do what they did in an hour.
