"When our electric went out we were in crisis! I had no time to look through reviews or meticulously pick an electrician. I prayed a brief prayer for God to open a door to someone honest and fair who would look out for us. Doing what he does best, the Lord exceeded my expectations by sending Mr. Cain. He worked diligently into the late hours of night/dark in frigid temperatures to get the power back on for my family. I am filled with gratitude for his presence, professionalism and the skill set the Lord has blessed him with. Our power is back on and better than ever. I highly recommend Cain Electric Solutions!"

"I hired CGA electric to perform some electrical work in my home as a part of a kitchen remodel. Their job was to remove six power outlets and their associated junction boxes from my kitchen walls and rewire the kitchen to provide power to the lower kitchen cabinets so that the removed power outlets could be replaced by under-cabinet power strips. Replacing two circuit breakers was also included. CGA Electric did an excellent job, and, importantly, did not leave behind any damage to the premises. I'd highly recommend them to others and will certainly keep them in mind for any future electrical work."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Southern Pines, NC

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
