"Crew of 7 worked 7 am (dawn) to 5 pm (dusk) in early December, hard-working & smooth working team, with foreman on site + project manager that checked in daily. Foreman checked in with me regularly as work progressed. Founder of this longtime family business came at the end to review job and receive payment. Removed old roof, replaced plywood underlayment, flashing as needed. Found source of ALL the leaks, installed flashing where it had been missing to prevent future issues. Looks GREAT!. Minor issue: quality of wood trim that had to be removed & then replaced; needs carpenter skills, not a strong part of their skill set, so I will have that upgraded in the spring."

"I have used Eric (A & F Construction) for many years and covering many different projects. These have included roofing, siding, gutters, storm doors, window replacements, trim and the like outdoors, and small electrical and plumbing projects, sheetrocking, flooring, and general renovations indoors. As with this project, he is always reasonably priced, honest, very capable, fast (once he gets free to start the job!), and VERY finicky about the quality of the finished project. More importantly, he always makes certain to understand what I want out of the project, and this sometimes involves unusual or custom installations (such as sealing the gaps in the decking for this project, modifying the handrails to fit existing construction, and cutting full-length columns in half to match what was there in the past). I wish I could include pictures to show how good the porch looks! Will I hire A& F again? In a heartbeat if Eric will have me!"

"Our roof was leaking due to an ice dam. After spending most of the night babysitting the situation I sent out several requests for help. Chis VanVleent dba as Ice Dams Removed was quick to get back to me and was at my house by 7:30AM the next morning....only hours after I had submitted an online request. I was very very pleased with our experience in an otherwise tense moment. His rate was reasonable even though he could have gouged us. He worked very quickly and efficiently and I believe this was because he knew what he was doing and was honest. I will be keeping his card if i have a need for a contractor down the road."

"The project manager Dana was a joke, all she was worried about was getting the 57K once she had that she could care less what went on. I would not agree to pay all upfront- 50% and 50% on completion or they will do a poor job. They broke our fence and have not repaired it- it was a new fence and they hit it in 2 places in one area they bent the pole- nothing was even said about the damage until I brought it up- we were double charged for the concrete and when I asked for documentation they could not seem to produce it or even answer my concerns. We held back $500 because of the damage and threated not to complete the pool closing or give us the cover- which is valued at a lot more. Again 57K is in their pocket already-$500 does not really seem like much at all. They left a mess in the back yard and in our garage, the pool is not level it rides up on one side. I would NEVER recommend them to ANYONE. FInd another pool company these guy are really bad."
