"Shannon and Darin are wonderful people to work with. I am a disabled person who needed a bathroom remodel done with wheelchair access. They listened to me and what my needs were and took it from there. My bathroom is beautiful!! I can function in there with minimal help from my husband. They also put new flooring down in my kitchen and they did that install in one day and it looks fantastic!! In our 1/2 bathroom they widened the door put in a new toilet and hung a barn door. I think they did the best job. And I praise the Lord for putting them in my life because I am so blessed to have met them. Thank You Big Rock Construction"

"Levite Solutions did an amazing job helping us tackle several projects around the house. We needed drywall repair, furniture assembly, and a few miscellaneous fixes that had been piling up for months. Communication was excellent from start to finish, they arrived on time, worked efficiently, and made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving. What really stood out was the professionalism and attention to detail. It’s hard to find reliable handyman services that are responsive, honest, and fairly priced, but Levite Solutions exceeded expectations. We’ll definitely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone needing quality home repair or handyman work."

"Draper Plumbing came highly recommended, but because of carelessness and poor communication on charges, we will not use their services again. His employee dropped a tool which chipped our new toilet. He also left a mess of dirt and metal pieces on the floor and discarded salt from the old water softener in our tub. The toilet was replaced, but I had to clean up the mess left behind. Recently, our water didn't have its softened feel. I called Mr. Draper to get his advice and asked if I should have a local company run a free test on the water first. He said that his employee could run the same test when he checked the system. After I asked about the cost, he said not to worry about that now, that we should find out what was going on first and discuss it later. His words indicated to me that this was a free assessment of the problem, and I assumed any expenses would be part of fixing the issue. The employee looked in the tank, tested the water, and said the system was working fine. He charged us $65, an expense I was trying to avoid when I asked about taking a sample to be tested first. Mr. Draper should have explained how the system would be checked (a water test) and clear about the cost. In addition, rather than having a card reader to take our payment, the employee wrote down all of my credit card information including the security code on the receipt. Depending on how the receipt was handled, this may be against PCI guidelines which are in place to protect customer credit card information, and it certainly puts it at risk of being misused if it is left out for others to see."

"Before I called them I called All Klear plumbing , The person receiving calls is very nice and professional, but they give appointment like the cable company in 2 hrs range. They would not give me clear coast estimate, and insisted that coast would be determined when they arrive on the site. Having been familiar with this trick from another local company, I told them thanks and no thanks for wasting my time. <br /> I then called Robby Massinger Plumbing, and thank Goodness asked for coast estimate before hand. They gave me an estimate of 530$.!!! Yes that's 530$ for a toilette stall installation and water supply line plus drain line. All for an already installed sink and faucet, provided I have all supplies ready. <br /> I finally called the guys at Far better plumbing. <br /> Tommy was very professional and helpful. He spent 2 hrs and charged me for that, No travel fees, no service call. All flat labor plus material, and even better, I paid him with a credit card as soon as he handed me the invoice, rather than dealing with a mailed invoice full of surprising outrageous charges like Reeds plumbing <br />"

"Raymond and John arrived the same day I called to report an inoperative water heater. Following a quick diagnosis of the problem, they suggested a new one would be the best solution. The water heater was installed the same, the old one was taken away, and the work area was cleaned. Great Guys - Great Job"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Springfield, MO

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
