"Team along with company owner arrived early and covered shrubs and grass around house with tarps, parked dump trailer in driveway for trash. Multiple guys on roof stripping off shingles and two guys on ground cleaning up as they worked. Roof underpayment and drip edge was on before lunch. With only about three and a half hours of daylight left, 9 guys all went to work on laying 30 squares of shingles, ridge vent and caps finishing the job in one day. Yard was cleaned up and nails were removed with a magnet, yard was left just as they found it. Evan’s Roofing team was experienced and very professional, using quality Owings Corning roofing products to complete the job. This is the second roof they have done for my family this year and they will be doing two more family houses in the spring. Definitely would recommend Evans Quality Roofing to anyone needing.a new roof or roof repair."

"Daniel showed up as scheduled to look at the job, and asked if I wanted a quote or a repair. I told him a repair, and within 30 minutes the job was done. He put rubber replacement boots over 4 deteriorated vent pipe boots. He also fixed a loose gutter screen that he spotted while he was here. Amazing quick service for a job that most roofers would think was just a nuisance to take care of (I'm still waiting for a return call from another roofer I called)."

"Bealing Roofing and Exteriors did a phenomenal job from the estimate down to the install and cleanup. They provided us with samples, complete written comprehensive estimate prior to the job and were prompt in responding to questions. On the day of install the entire property around the work area was protected by tarps. The installers were professional and answered questions from my husband as they came up. They worked quickly and cleanly. On completion of the job they were extremely thorough on their cleanup. The finished roof is gorgeous! I'd highly recommend them to anyone for service and their price."

"Where to begin… Attention to detail. Craftsmanship. Knowledge. Quality (an often overused and sadly becoming a meaningless term). Friendliness. Fair. These are just some of the traits of this family owned business. I researched roofers before I selected Shirks. I was impressed with their Angies List ratings, and what was even more impressive to me was the fact I had to wait several months before they could schedule me. Being in demand means, to me at least, that they are busy and probably from word-of-mouth satisfied customers. My project involved replacing an existing 20+ year old roof on a 100+ year old house, and roofing a new porch I built (I’m an avid DIY’er). I originally planned to use steel roofing on the porch and when I resided my house, planned for this with the way I ran my flashing. They were able to work with, around, and replace what I did without issue, even though they were probably wondering “what the heck did this guy do?”. The roofer 20+ years ago replaced a slate roof with 5/8” plywood and 3-tab. My roof is 12/12 pitch with a dormer that’s probably 24/12 or steeper, and pretty much covers 1 1/3 stories in height (it’s steep!). There’s a walk-out basement out back, making the roof 3 stories up out back, and the land slopes down to a brook giving you the impression you’re WAY up there! The original roofer and his crew were scared to be up there - it IS high, and his crew quit one by one on him because they hated being up there. These guys didn’t show any fear of heights. They found where the original crew didn’t butt or edge the 5/8 plywood correctly, and fixed all of that, including what had become a nuisance leak in a dormer valley (where the plywood didn’t meet, and the gap was bridged with one thin piece of tar paper and one shingle layer). They also fixed the edges of the rakes of the original plywood before installing the drip edge to even them out. The week after they completed the roof, we received the heavy downpours and wind, and the inside of the house remained bone dry, and believe me, I was checking! My crew was the five Shirk brothers and two others. All of them worked well together without any of the squabbles my own brother and I would have had! Oh - I grew up with a working-class father who treated contractors as people, and I firmly believe in treating all people as I would want to be treated. I opened my bathroom to them to use whenever they needed it, and none of them made me regret this decision. They were appreciative of this hospitality and voiced their appreciation numerous times. Did I mention in the beginning they were friendly? I would recommend these guys anytime, anywhere and have a stack of their cards to hand out to anyone in my area that needs roofing work done (my own detached garage is pending for April). "B & E Roofing completed the removal and replacement of my 2500 sq ft roof in a single day, using our <br /> preferred shingles and perforated ?Deck Armor? underlayment.  The five-man crew was polite and careful to <br /> wear booties inside the house.  B & E?s Roofer Buggy was very impressive to watch.  <br /> It received the old roofing materials easily, as its hydraulic mechanism positioned it immediately under the eaves.  <br /> When finished, the Buggy was withdrawn, and the contents were deposited into a waiting dump truck. The shingles were delivered by a hydraulic arm directly to the roof with great efficiency, allowing the front roof section to be shingled while the <br /> back section was being stripped.  <br /> Although my home is 50 years old, the chimney flashing has never been satisfactory. They fixed this by fashioning a ?cricket? triangle that directs the flow of water around the chimney.  I tested it with a hose at full flow, and it managed the extra water easily.  <br /> They even made an extra trip to remove any remaining debris and nails. <br /> I can highly recommend B & E for Angie?s members.  They are efficient and up-to-date,  providing a great value to <br /> their customers. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Very very slow service. Took at least 5 weeks from initial contact to get roof repaired. Took two weeks just to get an estimate. Had to call 2 or 3 times to even get it in the two weeks that it took. Never provided photos of the roof or damages a stated in the deal. Very poor customer service. Actual person repairing the roof was fine. If you don't care about poor response times and you have all the time in the world to get your roof repaired then they are fine. Otherwise I wouldn't use. <br />"
