"During a recent cold spell we had ICE form on the inside of the windows. Not just a little frost but solid ICE. When I called Thermal Windows about this issue they replied that they have had several calls during this cold spell with the same issue. They proceeded to tell me this was normal, then listed all the things I could do to reduce the amount of ice on the windows. 1- Remove window coverings ( I do not have any) 2- Reduce the humidity in the house ( currently at 31%). 3- Place a fan at each window to circulate air. These windows were installed by them, on a new construction house a little over a year ago. FROM INSTALLATION TO CUSTOMER THIS IS NOT THE SAME COMPANY IT WAS JUST A FEW YEARS AGO. "I reached out to D&C Custom Homes to get a quote on replacing the 15 windows at my home. I also reached out to three other local window companies for quotes for comparison. Dustin arrived and provided me with examples of the windows from three brand/manufacturers for comparison and spent much time reviewing the options available. This was different from the other local windows companies that stuck with one brand.
