"AJ was friendly and helpful and he and his partner did a great job at efficiently getting 1 tree cut down and grinding 3 stumps. There were some issues with the weather affecting his equipment+transport due to wet ground and communication could have been improved upon concerning those delays. As a whole, their work was great, and Iâ ll absolutely call them again next time and recommend them to others."

"Extremely pleased with the service. We were losing the battle with trumpet vines and saplings in our fence line. They took the time to cut the trees out of the chainlink and the trunks off at the ground instead of just lopping off the limbs to grow back. The 40ft trees on the property behind our house had died and fallen on our storage shed. Merced and his crew cut limbs growing over our yard, removed the dead tree and even cleaned up a brush pile we had started. They also ground the stumps, packed the dirt down and raked the yard. Best my yard has looked in 30 years."

"I thoroughly enjoyed having Takedown Tree Service respond to my service request. I needed to modify the time my service needed to be done and Takedown was able to make adjustmennta to my schedule. Then, when an Emergency (for them) came up, I was notified promptly of the delay. Upon their arrival, we discussed what I wanted done, so they were very considerate of my opinion and needs. The work was performed quickly and the residual limbs were neatly stacked so that I could arrange disposal. Takedown Tree Service will be my first chioce for any future tree services."

"Trenton showed up in the morning to remove limbs from two trees. Multiple limbs had fallen during the last ice storm, but we're caught in the trees. Trenton trimmed every limb that extended over my home and removed the fallen limbs. He identified some decaying limbs and offered to remove those as well. He was clean, professional and went above and beyond what we had initially discussed. He collected all limbs and left the yard without debris. I will recommend him to the rest of the neighborhood."

"Had four big maple tree that took a lot of damage during the ice storm in 2020. They did an excellent job removing them. Lots of branches hanging over the house, they didn't let any branches fall on house while cutting them down. Did excellent job at a fair price. Would recommend to family or friends, even some neighbors."

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Stillwater, OK

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
